Rack of guitars, rack of bass, guitar amps, bass amps, shitload of pedals, drums, maybe 40 crew, sound to be tested, effects all pre configured and tested...

This is just Grahams gear.

I recall Blur playing Benicassim 2015 just one day after having played Super Bock Super Bock in Lisbon.

The distance is almost twice as Dublin-Pilton.

Oh give over Skippy lad... 6 x number 1 albums and one of the most revered past headliners the farm has ever had.

It's cool if you don't like them but don't talk shit!

Skipster famous for saying "I avoid listening to bands I don't like".

Fucker talks about them at every opportunity though.

If that were the case then acts would never play back to back nights anywhere.

Again, don't think they'll play anyway.

An overnight drive. You cant drive trucks in the sea.

Smaller acts can do it because they've such a basic set up. Huge bands can do it if they've 2 productions on the go like U2 and the Stones do.

But Blur are too smart to risk it, on the Beeb, stuffing a Glasto headline slot into the tour

Coxon walked out early on in the Think Tank sessions (only played on Battery in you Leg I think) and refused to tour with them. Which is almost certainly why they went heavy on the songs he wasn't involved in.

It's not unusual that a lot of bands prioritise the new stuff in the setlist tbf. Not that I can recall if Think Tank has had as big an airing in their post-09 setlists.

U2 had 3 for the 360 tour since the stage took 6 days to build. And for a situation like this its pretty easy to pack up pedals and the like to get them to a fest. Dont need amps, you can rent those, same for a drum kit.

How would they make the 2.15am ferry? Just leave all the gear behind on the stage in Dublin?

Finish at 11, pack until 1am drive to the port arrive at 1:30 straight on the ferry, it's only the band equipment they need to pack.

The Killers played in Greece the night before they played the afternoon of Glasto

Well in their case it helps if you have the budget to spend several hundred grand a week.

I don't think Dublin to Glasto is that impossible a distance to navigate tbf. Though for all we know, they might never have been bothered about coming to Glastonbury anyway. Certainly if the Sunday or Friday have been earmarked for a second Dublin date, feels more likely that Blur aren't going to Glasto.

It's possible they do Dublin to Glasto or vice versa - regarding logistics. It's unlikely they would go for such a schedule in the first place though, that's the issue here. And since they don't seem to have 50 dates booked over the summer, they could do Dublin at pretty much any other date than over Glasto weekend, if Glasto was ever on the cards.

I agree, I said the same for Harry Styles and the it applies here too.
