I love the fact they still do everything with paper with a big notebook :). I went to a gig last week where lockers were QR code / email based. Felt a bit robotic and prone to hacking.

it absolutely works ... they've never lost anything so no need to change it ... its tents in a field so better to keep things simple

We were using the one by the other stage, a lot, never queued at all really, once or twice had to wait for the person in front to finish, but not really a queue as such.

Never really had to queue for a lock up really. I think the tricky time is probably sunday eve/monday but with anticipating a bit it's totally fine. Disclaimer though I've never seen or used the lock ups nearer to the campervan fields

Thanks both for the feedback about the queues, the only reason I asked was at some point I passed one and it had queue of maybe a dozen and I've never seen that before.

Since I got too old and lazy to camp it meant I never had more than a day's stuff to lose - just a caravan key plus provisions.

It's not the same when you don't get blitzed and fall asleep next to the fire with all your stuff next to you 🙄

As someone who lost his car key at Glasto this year and had to get his brother to drive an 8 hour round trip with the spare, I think I'm in a position to advise keeping a spare in the lock ups is a good idea!! 🙂

How you both laugh about it now though 😉

Magnetic key boxes on the chassis works well

This is what I was actually thinking, I know the look ups are great, but for your key at least I’d imagine that would be a suitable alternative. Even if someone saw you do it, you’d like to think you’re surrounded by semi decent people.

Yeah I used the one at the back of the Pyramid field this year and there were a few queues of several people, but nothing more than about a 10-15min wait at any time - the lock-ups as so great! Such lovely people (these were the Welsh CND crowd) running them too!

Had an email from See Tickets in relation to multiple campervan passes with my reg number:

We're getting in touch as you have purchased multiple Campervan passes using the same Glastonbury registration details and you have not contacted us since booking.

As per the terms and conditions, only 1 campervan is allowed per registration. Therefore, we are offering you the following options:

-a full refund of the extra pass(es)

OR

-to transfer the extra pass(es) to another registration(s) (please note, at least 1 festival ticket must have been purchased with the registration you wish to transfer your pass to)

Please get in touch with us via glastonbury@seetickets.com to confirm how you would like us to proceed. Please ensure you contact us before January 10th 2023 as if we do not hear from you, any duplicate campervan passes will be automatically cancelled.

Kind regards,

See Tickets

For clarity, we needed two for our group and a friend got in at exactly the same time as me, hence two tickets with the same reg no.

I've now messaged See Tickets to transfer the extra pass to another person in our group.

Anyway, thought I'd mention it as the email was found in my Spam.... and there is a deadline for automatic cancellation of additional passes.

So it seems that you can buy multiples but you can't keep them....

We ended up with a multiple in our group and contacted SeeTickets for a full refund, I had also emailed them before the sale and they assured me it wasn't possible to buy multiple passes with the same registration number, when we all know it has been an issue for years!

I bet this catches a few out if they miss the email though.

Not AUTLU?

As a non lock up user, did I pass some with more notable queues this year?

I have to say this year for the first time ever the queues at the lockup’s by Ped gate C were pretty bad at teatime. So much so that Saturday and Sunday evening we just walked back to the caravan and dropped everything back there. It’s never usually been a problem. Don’t know if it’s because more people using them or we just got unlucky with timing.

I’m tempted by a scout tent in Worthy View, tbh. We stayed in one in 2021 at Worthy Pastures and, boy, it will certainly be a damn sight easier and more comfortable than queuing through the Tuesday night to get a good spot in Cockmill. Has anyone got experience of staying at WV with kids? It’ll be me, my 14 year old and my 7 year old. Is the hill really that steep? What are the queues like to first get in? When would be the best time to arrive by car, middle of the Tuesday night??

Hello. Apologies for the thread bump and self quote but I'm struggling to find answers via searching to some further questions I have...

So, I got a 2 person scout tent at Worthy View in the accommodation sale. It'll be me and my two boys, one of whom is going to only be 8 years old so I understand it's fine for him to be in the tent with me and his brothers who are ticket holders. That's all cool.

What I want to know for sure is;

How easy is it to drive to the WV dedicated car park? Is it likely to be snarled up with traffic if we don't arrive either middle of Tuesday night or Wednesday afternoon?

If we do arrive Tuesday night, what is the queuing situation to get into first the WV campsite and then into the festival itself? Queue once and get wristbands for both or are there separate queues and you do tent queue first then festival queue? Does the campsite open at 8am same as the festival gates? Do the queues for the campsite building up from the early hours of the Wednesday like they do at the festival gates?

What are the showers in WV like? Are they busy? Or generally deserted first thing? Are they 24 hour?

Cheers!

Started with times this year, then they opened them longer (can't remember if it was 24 h though).

Not busy first thing if your first thing is 7/8 am... Or in the evening.

Just keep a lookout for the WV signpost on the main road, and don’t worry about being sent down country lanes, it’s well signposted and there’s stewards at a few of the junctions. Carpark toilets last year were just to the right of the gate into the campsite. We arrived during the night and it was extremely quiet, got parked in the front row of the car park so easy leaving on Monday. You need your ticket, wristband and a pass out voucher if you need to go out to the car. The queues into the campsite move quickly, and gates open at 8. Showers are busiest in the morning. Places to have a breakfast and some late night food but we preferred to go down on site and eat there, more choice. You will get an email will details of your tent number and WV facilities.

I stayed in WV from 2014-2019, once with my youngest (at the time 8 yr old). No point really in getting there super early as tents are pre allocated. We tend to get there mid afternoon on the Wednesday. The only year I have queued to get in was the muddy 2016 when everything was chaotic. Traffic was never an issue coming from the west as it’s pretty much the first turn off. Showers aren’t 24 hrs as they have limited water. People queue from 7am but very busy 8-11. Quieter in the evening

Regarding east quiet (I have an east quiet ticket) does this fill up even if you have a ticket, or are you guaranteed a space even if you turn up later?

My plan is actually to get there on the Tuesday, ideally around lunchtime, but my OH hasn’t definitely got the time guaranteed off yet (only the Tuesday is a potential issue though) so just planning for worst case scenarios.

Hi all,

My parents were unable to get a campervan ticket in the sale and have already put a payment down for a rented campervan. I note the mentions of random resales in the thread above so i will keep an eye out on seetickets. But in case that fails, can anyone recommend any external campervan sites? My dad has recently had a hip op so camping in a tent is kinda out of the question.

TIA
