The new Wednesday album is hitting all the right buttons for me this morning. Loved their last one but this one is a whole other level up entirely. If big blown out shoegaze bangers with a country tinge sounds like your deal then can’t recommend this enough.

100%, easily AOTY so far for me. Have been doing a big deep dive through the Wednesday/MJ Lenderman back catalog this week and there's so many gems. Unbelievably excited to see them live in a couple months.

Metallicas new album is 77 minutes long. Put the kettle on before.

New Metallica is alright but every song is like 1-2 minutes too long and tbh they all largely blend in to each other and sound very similar, which isn’t helped by the kind of sterile production. There are definitely good moments, mostly when a solo comes in, but it’s not leaving much of an impression on first listen through. Good enough for a few more songs to add to the setlists for the next few years I suppose.

Love it, had it on a few spins since last week.  They've found a spot between the earlier guitar sound of Brilliant Sanity and the more electronic feel of Family Of Aliens, and I'm 100% here for it.

A lot of the tunes are 3-4 minutes too long!

Nakhane's new album is well worth a listen.  No idea what to categorise it as but it's good.

For whatever reason I’ve never given Feist much of a listen despite her seeming like something I should love, so decided to change that today and I’m really liking her new one. Looks like I’m gonna have to backtrack through all her other stuff now.

New track from synthy indie poppers Nation of Language. In London 16th Jun and then clear until Chicago 21st Jul, so possibly a GSH.

Hard to predict anything but a massive future for The Last Dinner Party.

Hard ABBA, Kate Bush, Sparks vibes, but fresh

Already supported The Stones before a debut single was even out, and signed to Universal.

It won't be Wet Leg big, but more along the lines of Sports Team-size
