Only the 2nd GF I've missed since 2011. Tried to avoid here and the final poster (almost impossible). Bad enough that Elton is my favourite artist of all time. Don't think I'll ever get over it. But yeh, Young Fathers my new faves!

They are currently on tour (as in literally this week) think most dates have sold out but if they are playing near you worth trying Twickets. They have an intensity live that's just incredible. I know a few people who actually don't love them on record that much but think they are great live. My husband wasn't fussed about seeing them at Glasto but turned out to be his favourite thing of the weekend.
CaledonianGonzo
Still tickets left for the Edinburgh shows next week I think (cos they went on sale after the Glasgow gigs which sold out immediately)

2019
Went to see Bex Burch last night, this is so far from my usual comfort zone. Compelling to watch and listen though. Encore was a cover of Laurie Anderson's O Superman. PXL_20231020_203414618.mp4
nikkic
Bombay Bicycle Club album is OK, not as good as their last. The Chaka Khan collab was a suprise. Barry Can’t Swim and Parcels albums are the big winners this week.

MrTobs
Didn't really know Sampha before, but wow, that album is stunning. Also, not sure if it's been posted, but Caroline released this banger a few days ago. And there is this, not as good as dykttatuob-Lana, but still beautiful imo. New stuff is a bit better than Yawn, but for me, nothing has really been as good as the West Kirby County Primary album. Guessing he'll be back at EOTR next year. Guessing he'll be back at EOTR next year. Hopefully. Bodes well for the new album though. Playing Dublin in a small venue on a Saturday in March where I saw him and met him before. Ill ask him about EOTR if I go. Last time I asked him about Glasto and he replied "Nah f**k that". FloorFiller
Not that I was particularly expecting greatness but this is pretty bland and uninspired even for late career Green Day: At least it’s better than any of that last load of shite album they released, mind. He played a great set at Williams Green a couple of festivals ago but made some reference to ‘dickheads in bucket hats’ during it.

jonnyisRFC
Anyone checked out the new Gaslight Anthem album? First album since 2014 and features Bruce Springsteen on one track. It’s Different from their earlier stuff but they’re still the best band in the world. They’re in the UK in July for 2000 Trees but sadly it’s billed as a UK festival exclusive.
