No matter if folk have misgivings about how the money is raised whether a raffle or an auction don’t lose sight of the real beneficiaries of this, the great work done by the Trussell Trust. I think that’s the most important thing.

Exactly this, these ten auctions will probably raise a good 20 grand at least and have absolutely no impact on anyone's enjoyment of the festival.

I'd pay 1.5k per ticket if I didn't have one already. Don't think I'd win any of the auctions with that poultry amount

You can still get the side of stage photo, see behind the scenes of the pyramid etc. Presumably chill in the back stage compound for a bit if they're really terrible.

It's up to £18.5k already with over 6 days of bidding left for the 5 packages put up.

The response on the Instagram account is certainly mixed. 

I can't help but wonder if a raffle with a limit of x per person would have encouraged more people to enter, raise a greater amount of money, whilst also making the opportunity available a wider range of people

I’ve no doubt these will sell for a lot but also quite likely some of the winners will pull out. Someone bid £60k on eBay the other day for an old Mr Blobby suit but didn’t cough up. The bids aren’t enforceable.

They have been deleting quite a few bids, the price has dropped a few times while I’ve been half keeping an eye on it.

Find that Maceos one quite funny in particular. Great bar but access plus one round of drinks? Even with tickets included it's not anywhere near worth what it's gonna go for.

I think with most of these auctions the add ons are pretty much irrelevant, people just want the tickets.

Also serves as a chilling reminder of how much Glastonbury tickets could go for in an unrestricted marketplace.

I think this has to be the baseline for comparing the desirability of the other auctions.  People actively don't want to have to stand on the cabaret stage and introduce something, or touch the spider's 'button' with a barge poll.  If they go for less money than a round of drinks then it'll be pretty funny.

They said 10. Released every 30 mins from 12:00.

Have they not said raffle tickets come later? Hopefully they will have saved the best prizes for after these idiots have been parted with their money.

A slight shame, but strategically, best option if raising the most capital is your goal.

It wouldn't be nearly as much if 1000s of people were able to sell vs 10 pairs
