I'm definitely swaying to this idea. They know they will get flack with a (mainly) white male set of headliners so include them with a poster that has plenty of female acts and they can deflect some of the complaints.

Either that or drop one or two big female names ahead of the poster.

My thinking was more because it's so late now so why split the announcements. But the above makes sense, as we've seen from "quite a few" discussions here already... + I am guessing GNR wants to sell some tickets before announced.

AM + GNR this Saturday

Poster end of the month

whats the logic behind this

piss people off and give them a month to moan before announcing some women to make it a bit better lol

have they ever given (bar poster release) multiple headliners in one go? seems unlikely

The logic is if I say the poster is any sooner I'm gonna disappoint myself

Rip off the AM/GNR plaster already so we can focus on the good stuff

To be fair, this thread is "full poster", not "next announcement".

It's likely that we get something, and probably more than one something, before we see a poster.

We didn't get the poster until part way through the balance period last year, if they could have given it earlier I'm sure they would have done. They were probably still trying to finalise some names on it.

Friday 17th March. 8.30am.

"Here is our first Glastonbury Festival 2023 line-up poster.

Following the previously announced Sunday night headliner Elton John. We can confirm this year’s final two Pyramid Stage headliners are Arctic Monkeys (Friday night) and Guns n Roses(Saturday night).

We are really pleased to be able to announce that the Sunday teatime legend slot will see us welcome two legendary artists in 2023 with Cat Stevens playing his first ever set at Worthy Farm alongside Blondie who return following a triumphant performance in 2014.

Many more acts and attractions still to be announced! Full list in text under the poster. This year’s Festival will support Oxfam, WaterAid and Greenpeace and other worthy causes including the Ukraine Humanitarian Appeal & the Disasters Emergency Committee’s Turkey-Syria Earthquake appeal.

Artwork by Stanley Donwood."
