Anyone ever done this? Is it fun? Good? Worth it?

We do it every year and I would highly recommend it. Food is great, the service is really friendly. We’ve only ever done the Sunday roast.

Best bit is sitting at a table with real knives and forks, bottle of wine and actual glasses! Makes you feel human again, especially if it’s a muddy one. They have a singer on stage while you eat and it’s always a lovely atmosphere.

I love the idea of it but in reality I don't want to have to commit to being in a certain place at a set time for anything other than a band because I know how easy it is to get distracted by things as you're bimbling about.

I do like heading up there to hang out and have drinks at other points of the festival though.

Did it once 2016. Its an experience but its also - you could go to a good restaurant anytime and not in a field. So do you want 3 hours of your day committed to something you can do anywhere. It was good but i wouldnt do it twice

We do the Sunday lunch, and for anyone considering it, it’s an hour not 3!

At a festival with so many unique experiences on offer that only exists for 5 days, I can’t see why I’d want to go to a restaurant. I can do that anywhere, anytime. No?

I needed to allow 3 hours. Rain , mud, inevitable drunkenness. Thought it was 2 hours inside tho. It was a Thursday.  Odd to have real glasses and plates and food was very good.

If I ended up there, I'd be convinced someone had spiked me.

Well we all get something different out of the same moments i guess. I wouldnt do it again. But im not the same person i was in 2016 either so i dunno what im trying to say.  From what I've read of you skip i absolutely take my hat off to you for living the life i envy.  But im full of contradictions and try to go the path of least resistance even if it kills me a little inside.

I did it for exactly that uniqueness… I’ve never had fine dining before … and fine dining in a field was quite different

I've done it twice before. It's a quirky thing to do with others, although it baffles me why anyone does it on the Fri/Sat/Sun, when they have to commit to a time before they know who's playing where.

This year the cost has risen to £45 for two courses, and that's too much for me right now.

We’re considering it for the first time this year. I would only do Thursday early as I wouldn’t risk any clashes but having been to Glastonbury a fair number of times now it’s an unusual experience that I wouldn’t mind trying and I could do with having a more relaxing Thursday so this could force me to spend a few hours taking it easier.

I love a good upmarket restaurant, but for me when you're paying £45 for 2 courses, you're paying for the ambiance as much as the food.  And no matter how you dress it up, the Deluxe Diner is a big tent in a muddy field.  It may be a novelty, but it's not an upmarket experience and I wouldn't pay that kind of money for it.  Especially when you're at Glastonbury and there's a million other things to see and do.

This. I'm glad I did it and had the experience, but it's not something I'll put on my schedule every time I'm there. To be brutally honest, if it wasn't a Glastonbury novelty, I'd feel a bit short changed for £45, based on service and quality of food.
