Buy it in advance, parking is a bit of a lottery, it’s just where they send you. Have a look at the map and decide what gate you want to go in. The orange car park is good one to get into for gates A or D. Also all depends on what direction you are arriving from.

Great - thanks for all of this! All really useful points 😃

Well I go through and bought my tickets later than all of you I've been speaking to about it (around 10:40am) and seem to have received my email after you all too... 👀 as it's only just arrived.

Pick which side of the festival you want to enter by then go for that, at some points during the week/weekend you won't be allowed through Pilton, so if you are coming from London and want to be in gate A/D then you need to do a bit of a circle. Also we didn't put our sticker up in the car until we got to the car park entrance we wanted (orange) which meant that we avoided pink.

I don't think the car parks will be as busy as the rain strikes look to be coming to an end, which is good.

Anyone else tend to pay it at 00:01 on the 1st then spend the rest of the week checking daily to ensure it's actually gone though? 😄

This is me. But I’m prone to anxiety and as such, have learned to be a bit of a hyper-organised pain in the arse.

So if you do that, you pay just one £9.75 "transaction fee" for all six, instead of £9.75 each? That seems like a good saving! There's a few drinks in that bonus!

Yes, you only pay the one transaction fee but still pay the fiver booking fee for each ticket.
