Glastonbury Seating and Chill Spots

Maybe carry a camping chair around so that she can take a break whenever/wherever she needs to. I need to do this because of my back and hip...it's a long day on your feet so being able to take a break when needed is very welcome! ๐Ÿ˜„ย

We carry one of these for when my wifeโ€™s legs need a break. Which is less bulky than a chair

Hey Folks,

ย

Look for a few suggestions here where seating isnt too hard to get.

One member of our crew struggles with her knees a bit so will need a few sitting breaks

If you're moving between the main stages, walk the route with the most bars and eateries, they normally have plenty of seating during the daytime, more so when you're walking during any of the subs/headliners, but then obv you'd be missing them. Other than that, go to the non-music related fields, I guess.

Also, there's plenty of benches at the back of stages and to the sides, so if you get there early for a set you want to get closer to, turn up in good time and then have a rest before heading into the main crowd.

It can all get a bit competitive for seats in a rainy/muddy year tho.

Lots of benches at the back of West Holts. I'm guessing that the significant amount of lovely sit-down space at Williams Green will be gone, replaced by Carhenge 2.ย

Agree with whatโ€™s been said above. Plenty of seating around but you can get pretty small foldaway chairs that are easy to carry. We got some Quechua ones from Decathlon last year that fold up v small and are light - ย though ended up leaving them at tent because it was dry enough to sit on the ground.ย

This chair is fantastic - very very light, folds up small so will fit in a bag (or attaches nicely with a couple of D rings) plus it's got a decent back on it too.

Tiny Tea Tent. Always the Tiny Tea Tent.

this is a great spot and location. Enjoyed spending early-ish mornings here with my wife at GF 2022 as she was pregnant so we were up early. Good place to have your morning cuppa and watch people stumbling back from SE-corner!ย

I love it during the day when I need 15 mins to let my brain settle down if there's a lot going on.

I have one of those and have used it on site in the past. Just make sure if it's a spiky one you have the rubber cover over the spike.

I thought it was of limited use. It would take some weight off, but you still had to balance and use your leg muscles to keep steady. It might actually be aggravating for the knees.

Of course there is also the balance issue when you have impaired abilities.

yeah.. very valid points (no put intended).. I know that i tend to find myself standing at the back at gigs nowadays so that i can lean on something. I tend not to drink so much nowadays so less chance of wobbliness.. and I am considering (given the line-up) that I may look at spending Friday and/or Saturday around the Avalon / Croissant Neuf areas where there is plenty of potential seating

I will give it a go at Bearded Theory this month..ย
