The music after midnight is mostly shite

Pennard Hill is literally the worst place to camp

Men: putting glitter on your face / flowers in your hair doesn’t make you a hippy it makes you a twat

This couldn't be further from my experience. This person obviously wasn't at The Chemical Brothers in 2019.

Well yes obviously there’s going to be an atmosphere there. I’m saying more in terms of acts throughout the day compared to if they were playing R&L etc

1. Secret sets with huge acts on tiny stages, which don't stay secret anyway, could make thousands more people happy if they'd just been included on a bigger stage. They could still retain their "secrecy" if anyone believes that actually happens anymore.

2. SEC was better with Lost Vagueness.

3. I'd like them to return to the days of having sub-200k attendees.

The festival is oversold - reduce capacity by 10,000 at least

Merch designs are terrible

I've never understood the fuss over some of the quirky heritage acts who largely play the same set each year

Names for most of the areas lack imagination

Glastonbury-on-Sea should've been a one-and-done

Arcadia has become stale

The South East corner creatively peaked in 2011

Still by far the best week of the year by a mile.

I think there's a certain camaraderie when it's muddy, a 'we're all in this together' spirit and the belief that we don't care about that state of the groundand we're gonna party anyway, and party harder - this just isn't there when it isn't muddy. Maybe this comes form 1998 being my first festival, it's never muddy like it was then these days - literally seas of mud absolutely everywhere. Rain can sod off though, mud's ok but rain is just depressing.

Somebody call?

What a load of old nonsense. I once had a debate with someone who claimed that muddy years are more fun.

They're not, they're a logistical nightmare: harder and slower to move round site, can't just plonk your arse anywhere, vehicle movement is problematic and dangerous, etc

Also a little bit of rain, preferably between about 7am and 10am is good, it keeps the dust down and freshens things up a bit. As long there's not enough to make it muddy.

New order in 2005 were amazing , it wasn't just me off my  face

I fell asleep at the back of the pyramid field for the whole New Order 2005 set, other half came back from the pit raving about it and had to wake me up

The dripping out of the line up every few days with yet another poster of smaller stages is dull and unnecessary, just bring it out all in one go.

Couldn't agree more with this. It's like drip feeding your Christmas presents over the whole of November and December.
