22 - To the lovely couple (scottish lass and english fella) who we got chatting to in the queue for NYC downlow who we then kept bumping into when taking breaks from the sweat inside! You made the queue go a lot faster.

19 - To the girl I made friends with at Sean Paul when I was by myself because all my friends wanted to see other acts. Thanks for helping me not get squashed!

Funny little incident in 2019 (I think), was coming back from a rare visit to the Pyramid, Lauryn Hill I think.

Anyway a young woman noticed my shoelace was undone, she pointed this out and I said, "yea it'll be fine thanks, not sure I could get back up anyway".

She knelt down and tied it for me. Her boyfriend didn't look too pleased.

To everyone who has ever engaged with our feather duster - thank you!

Yes, its a big duster on the end of a stick!  We get "What's it for?" a lot!  And of course its not for dusting!!  But it gets us talking with hundreds of random people over the weekend, we laugh with it, we tickle people, we let kids stroke it, we dance with it.... last year it was used as a limbo pole by the rave tree in the Greenpeace field.  Its a pain in the arse to carry all weekend but the fun we get with it is magical - and that couldn't happen without YOU!

To the lovely boy in the queue who lent us a tenner so we could rent headphones for Fat Boys Slims silent disco.

It was our first Glastonbury (2019) and afterwards my 15yo could talk of nothing else on the bus in the way back to Bath & West, you made his night.

I think I fell in love with the festival right there in that queue and I’m gutted we’re not going to be there again this year 🥹

Sat outside the Cider Bus, Thursday 2008. Ended up talking to a very drunk (but friendly fella) and we ended up having a big sing along to the theme from The Wombles. Was surprised at how many other people bellowed out "UNCLE BULGARIA".

Bumped into him again at a later time and we impulsively shouted "UNCLE BULGARIA" before nodding to each never to be seen again....

2019 again, somewhere (there was a waterfall involved) in the Common in the early hours I'm having a great time dancing away to some DnB, when a bloke approaches me and says "I can see your 'white-lining' (whatever that means), have some water".

The married straight couple who my mate and I got chatting to near the pier last year, and ended up having a few drinks with in the bar. It became fairly clear they were looking for a couple to swing with and were disappointed to find we weren't a couple and my mate is gay. Lovely people though!

The lovely market trader last year who didn't mind us crashing out in one of the few patches of shade that happened to be right in front of his stall as I recovered from a spot of sun stroke. He did a much better job checking up I was ok then my bloody mates did and brought me some water. Sparkling too!

Samula, that sounds like. If it was the Saturday night it's possible that was one of my group 😄

Additions...

The group of Welsh lads in '17 that joined myself, @stuartbert two hats, @Seldom Seen Kid, @fatyeti24 and @H.M.V at @Sawdusty surfer's massive table in Croissant Neuf and got absolutely trollied with us.  One of the best afternoons I've had.

That's one of my all-time happiest memories. So unexpected and joyous, and whoever the ladies were that sat next to me, who were completely bemused by us all but just took it inn true Glasto spirit and even ended up engaging with The Lime Games.

The lovely lady I met about 5 years ago when I was at Arcadia by myself, who let me dance with her and her friends.

I asked if she knew where the nearest toilets were and she said her and her friends were about to go so I could follow them. I didn't realise they were working at the festival until they smuggled me in to a crew bar where I ended up spending many, many hours being entertained by a very intoxicated gentleman playing a grand piano who kept falling asleep and would wake up and start right where he left off, with various singalongs throughout the performance.

I watched the sun rise over the site with a stranger and it was a genuinely lovely night.  None of which would have happened without that fabulous lady.  I think her name may have been Claire but my memory is terrible.  Massive thanks for a memorable night, whatever your name may be.

Two people.  Boz - a lovely bloke who I met in Maceo's on Monday night last year, who insisted on taking a selfie with my wife and me.  Few minutes of chat later he shares that he'd been a shut-in for a few years over COVID, and was forcing himself to interact with people in an attempt to overcome his social anxiety etc.  Boz, if you're out there, you're a top bloke and I hope to bump into you again this year.

2016, end of LCD Soundsystem, I was very emotional and stood having a little cry as the crowd emptied out.  Some big hairy bloke came and asked me if I was OK, gave me a hug and shared some whiskey with me.  It was absolutely what I needed to get myself back together and enjoy the rest of the night.

Actually three - David, who I met working a gate in 2016.  We were both there alone, and we subsequently spent a lot of that festival together, as well as 2017.  Unfortunately no longer with us, but very fondly remembered, even though I only spent two weekends with him.
