Would also say there should be space for Live Bed Show, Joyriders, and Bad Cover Version. And if it was to be announced as a final show, then close it off with Happy Endings. f**k it, give them an extended Cure/Springsteen length set. I can not believe I left out First Time - I hang my head in shame and sneak it back in. Goes to show what solid depth Pulp have - Others you mentioned, Dales suggested Trees. Still means leaving out Bar Italia, O.U and Help The Aged!!! Sort of like how the Courteeners are a stadium band in northern England and play much smaller venues down south right?

Throw in Mis-shapes & Sorted for E's & Wizz and you have half a set that everyone will know. As some one who does not go to Glastonbury and only watches on TV, I can't believe that some do not think they are headline worthy and don't have the tunes. As a TV Glastonbury fan, I can say that lots of TV viewers will know more Pulp songs then many of the headliners Glastonbury has had. I was impressed watching the crowd at Reading 2011 on YouTube that they actually seemed to know quite a fair bit. Whether it's the same now, I'm not sure. I went to Finsbury last year and there were definite peaks and troughs... although that's not exactly unique to one band. I still want a Different Class in full show for 2025 to mark it's 30 year anniversary tbf. Whether it's announced is another matter.

Only Friday I'm In Love is anywhere near as a big a song. Not about how popular it was at the time, it's how much it gets referenced, crops up on soundtracks, all that stuff. It's like how Things Can Only Get Better by D:Ream is massively known in the UK, but because it was the Labour 1997 election song and so all over the news for weeks. It wasn't such a focused single event with Common People but it's genuinely one of the best known songs in the UK. Your Gran has probably never even heard of Muse but will know Common People. wosman
Any chance of Pulp next year? (sorry, I know we've been here before for two years!) Can't think of many better realistic options to close the festival before a fallow year

Im kicking myself for not getting a ticket for their tour. Where could they even be slotted in at this stage? I dont think ive done a Glastonbury without seeing Jarvis is some shape or form. When Jarvis DJs (Stonebridge?) do you typically manage to go up and say hi? I think I've only seen him officially listed at 1 of the 2 Glastonburys I've been at, and from memory I was on the other side of the site from wheer eh was supposed to be

MichaelsBeard
Glastonbury and a 30th anniversary tour of Different Class? Think it’s nailed on and that’s why they haven’t played last couple of years when about and free.
CR77
Well this is potentially good news..!! Oh PLEASE make this happen!! From "Britpop News": PULP may tour England again NEXT YEAR! While discussing Pulp’s history of splits and runions in a new interview with Sky News, guitarist Mark Webber let it slip that Jarvis Cocker and co. may have a few shows up their sleeve for 2025. “[The response was] kind of amazing,” Webber said about Pulp’s recent reunion. It’s "quite likely we will play in England before we disappear again", he hinted. "There's nothing confirmed yet but we expect there'll be more concerts next year." NorthernSoul52
Still think they may be at Tramlines. Would be a suitable bit of Other stage counter-programming to Olivia Rodrigo, or a very good sub for Sam Fender.
fullfathom5
If you’re reading this Emily, please don’t put Pulp on opposite O-Rod. I want to see both! 🙏

NorthernSoul52
Pulp into Sam Fender would be excellent. Think it would be top banana, as the kids used to say.

I’ve been desperately wanting this to happen for now this 3rd Glastonbury while they’ve been reunited but him saying ‘nothing confirmed’ makes it even more unlikely for me as it suggests they’ve always been set for not coming back since the reunion started. Like surely if they wanted to do Glastonbury it would have been confirmed ages ago.

They've probably got shows planned out, but not ready to announce for whatever reason. Unfortunately, I have come to accept that whatever they're doing next year, it doesn't involve Glastonbury. Just the complete absence of chatter about it suggests that one or both sides has decided that it doesn't make sense.
