Fri HC is almost nailed for me barring some late addition somewhere else. Saturday will be all about Axl and the lads for me.

It's a shame that Woodsies is in the opposite corner to SEC because I wanted to catch Skindred too after Hot Chip... But now looks very unlikely. Dang it.

Skindred playing Thursday night, you are in luck 🙂

How on earth are Courteeners and Hot Chip playing yet again? must be doing it for free surely?

I've enjoyed watching them both over the years, but seems like a lack of ideas.

Courteeners are playing at like 5pm on the 5th biggest stage and must to have agreed to that fee. So yes, probably.

Huge booking for that slot even if they are complete shite

I'd counsel against spending a fair portion of your Sunday night traipsing between headline slots. From EJ to Phoenix to QOSTA would likely be a good 45-60 mins of your night gone just to stand at the back or well to the side of each show.

2 sets would be doable perhaps, but 3? That's just coconuts.

You are right, good advice. Will see where the day takes me. 😄

Against the general consensus, I am thrilled to be getting a personal gig from Phoenix, and will sing and dance my little socks off whilst you're all at Reg-aoke! At least I'll have plenty of space.

Ben

Ahhhh this makes me sad! We could have had a dance to Phoenix together. But Im firmly on the Elton train. If I have a change of heart I’ll give you a shout!

No one is mentioning Warpaint that much. I like a few of their songs and they're high up on the poster, but are they really worthy subs if the poster is to be true?

I’d argue yes. They’re one of the only acts this year that I must see. They’ve headlined the park before and their latest album is their best yet.

I know, but they headlined way back in 2017, on a far smaller stage. Since then they've released one album. Perhaps I'm underestimating them, but it feels a slot too high.

Others talking about war paint. I can see Young Fathers supporting Depeche Mode a week before G, so would be up for Warpaint before arctics. Saw them at APE a few years back and they were really good.

is the info on skindred doing the Thursday solid?

I have to agree, it does feel a bit samey. I like Hot Chip but it doesn't seem like 5 minutes since they headlined the Park.

Slowdive at 5pm Sunday is a must-see.

Saw them at Primavera a few years ago and it was one of the best gigs I've ever been to.

Managing to see them earlier in the day, with much less chance of clashes, is a no-brainer

I've seen them a couple of times since they reformed, brilliant both times - perfect for a relaxing Sunday tea time slot. I saw Low in a similar slot at the JPT a few years ago and it was ace, they set me off for a little snooze after a busy long weekend of playing gigs at the festival and carrying a double bass around the site in the blazing heat.

To join in on the Slowdive lovein; I saw them at about 9:45pm at Primavera last year, sunsetting, on the Cupra stage which backs directly onto the Barcelona coastline, and it was probably the most magical setting for a gig I've ever been to (and ever will). Slowdive strolled on and played their shoegaze dream anthems and it was one of the most memorable moments of my life.
