You have absolutely no idea what this community means to that guy. You can rightly be proud to be the owner of the platform that allowed the community to become what it is, but to seemingly turn on someone who appreciates this place so much that he volunteered to assist you and to try and help restore it to the vibrant place it once was, is so unfathomable, it's beyond parody.

I have to say, some of you regulars that know Alex well have stayed awfully quiet on this subject.

for people who think an awful lot of their own niceness, i discovered  there's a lot of delusion with efests users.

i trurn ed it off and on again, quite a few times when the users fucked it by wanting control but not the costs, work, responsibility or abuse.

Actually, you turned it off through incompetence and only got it back on again through the kindness and generosity of the user base.

its the sort of self-promotion these forum's has always discouraged as that's the pathway to forum death.

From the king of “all about me.” Tantrum central if anyone dares to have different info to you.

It feels from here that the most significant risk to the forum (any forum) is alienating the contributors, who are the customers.

The customers are not always right but if you piss off the contributors and they stop contributing then the forum ain't worth a toss.

Just as well it has been sold really.

Many users contributed to the costs through gold membership (which we originally thought was helping out). Can’t really blame internet randoms for a business model you created…

its a ridiculous story that emily couldn't find a female headliner, when there's a suitable one on the bill, it doesn't improve with time.

I’ve checked in with him privately but in honesty I’m a little speechless on the situation and didn’t want to add extra fuel to the fire. This thread has become unhinged and some of the insults aimed at users, especially Alex, unacceptable. Mad.

Many people have attested to good deed and care @Crazyfool01has done, so it's not people thinking about their own niceness. As I said before I haven't criticised you on here before but really just maybe go and chill out rather than making a molehill into fucking everest

there's a difference between a contribution and taking responsibility for the costs, was glad to pay down the huge hosting bill recently.

Ive been twice, as well as to an efestivals meet up at Boomtown. All three have been great 🙂

So many positive vibes for the eFests meet! Makes me wish the festival was in three days, not 30. Really feeling the spirit of Glasto with all these words of encouragement.

yhou're back for more trolling and to stink the place out again, i see, its all you have.

I haven’t been anywhere… I’ve been here most days happily posting away and chatting about Glasto and the area lineups and everything else.

I try to ignore you and I’m not a troll but you’ve been super horrible to Crazyfool today and I’m not the only person to post saying that am I?

Neil, you're left arguing with all the people who eithe stuck up for you or bit their tongue the last time you had a tandrum and the time before that... And the time before that.  Now, with you biting the most patient and loyal hand that feeds you, the rest of us have finally had enough.

Please let the new owner take over and leave. There's no need for another aggressive binfire. Just draw a line under things and go.

You know that thing about the 21 year old Glastonbury appealed to the 21 year old me whereas the 53 year old Glastonbury fits the 53 year old very nicely? That is the way things are and way the forum should be. The style that made the forum may not be what we want anymore.

I shouted obscenities at black people from the football terraces in 1985 that horrify me now. We grow up and mature and gather wisdom and experience.

Mark E Smith (an idol of mine) made his living out of being a cantankerous, acerbic pain in the arse. By the time he shuffled off the planet it had all worn thin.

The older I get the more effort I make to change, smile and be a good person. It makes one happier

Try it Neil. Don't be MES. He turned into a miserable shite

Name badge that says @MEGATRONICMEATWAGONwill be fine at the ridge and furrow. Maybe take it off before NYC Downlow… unless you’re feeling brave 😂

Haha. Cheers for the tip! I might well feel a lot braver after a few ciders... see where the night takes me, lol 😅

I've been to a few meets now, but since they're only once a year and for one evening, I generally spend most of my time talking to people who I've not met in real life, but do know their names from the forum. In this respect, you're the perfect kind of person to show up!

the first time i met a particular lauded old git his words were "so you're the guy who's trying to rip me off" were not true, but where the consequence of words he'd been fed for nefarious reasons, because some only achieve power thru the suckerdom of others.

Amongst the arguments on here, I'd also add my endorsement to being at the meet. I only attended the once, but it was a really nice couple of hours and everyone was very friendly, including Neil himself. I wouldn't necessarily read too much into this forum capturing "the spirit of Glastonbury all year round" but face-to-face, everyone, to a person, was lovely.
