Leftfield (The Band)

Sets last year on the park had a 45 minute changeover time. That won't be needed between Leftfield and FBS. I'd expect Leftfield to start later and walk on to near darkness, then play the majority in the dark.

Leftfield deserve a headliner slot tbh, not playing second fiddle to some played out act like Fatboy who surely everyone at the festival has seen play 100 times down there already over the years

The thing with FBS is that he's produced some good stuff, but he's actually a very average live DJ. He effectively just puts on one tune after another, that's it. I could do it.

Yeah I stuck on his JP set when it was on iPlayer and although I’m sure it was great in the tent, it was a real stinker to watch on TV - puts on a tune, waves his hand in the air and waits around until it’s time to put on the next tune, and repeat. Like somebody said,  maybe there’s been some miscommunication and he’s playing Stonebridge or something with Leftfield headlining the Park, which makes far more sense.

They've both headlined Sonic before so I suppose they're a similar draw. I'd be very surprised if Leftfield don't headline though, not least because it's pretty rare to have a DJ close one of the non-dance stages (with good reason IMO - plenty of places for them to play later on).

Is it possible they will keep the park stage going past headliner time and have FBS play then?

Four Tet headline last year was a DJ set

I’d love to see Leftfeild again, though very nervous not to tarnish what is in my top 3 experiences of Glastonbury, back in 2000 on The Other stage OMG! The bass that night made my spleen vibrate loose at least twice 😆. I was mid field not near a speaker stack, in complete awe. Such a fantastic performance.

Haha. I heard they got banned from a venue in London for playing to London that the plaster started cracking and falling down. Hope they still try and break the speakers when they play

i saw them at Beatherder a few years ago and due to too much matter, i thought i was in the band, on the stage and then flying above the crowd.  It was immense and terrifying.

What a weekend

When they wheeled out the extra bass bins before they came on you just new it was going to be great.. what a night they was

Last saw them at Brixton Academy, must be about 15 years ago now - blimey! Amazing gig. Would love to see them but in this instance will only work for us if it’s a sub headliner slot so kind of hoping this might work out

The Sunday night in 2017? I think. It was incredible. I was so enhanced. I remember holding my wife's hand really hard as I thought I was going to fly away... So intense.

Finally came round at about 4am sat by some randoms camper drinking Stella. Arguably my festival zenith

Anyone seen a Leftfield live show recently? Seen them a few times over the years but wondering what they are like now in terms of guest vocalists, live musicians; visuals etc or if it is more of a knob twiddling scenario ?

I spoke to Cheshire in the week. He'll be there. I'm sure Earl will be too.
