You really need to see Skindred on the Thursday night at Shangri-la, they are one of the best live bands out there

I honestly can't believe they aren't on the main bill

Not really a fan, but Shangri-La stage is the best place for their vibe.

Anyone have any recommendations for indie pop? Thinking along the lines of Tame Impala, Metronomy, Glass Animals etc.

The Lottery Winners are very melodic indie pop. New album is fucking class too.

Second vote for Lottery Winners. Or Japanese Breakfast who I think isn’t  officially announced yet but saw elsewhere on here v likely to play when full lineup comes out. Been listening to it this week. V good and an indie pop vibe.

Woodsies alone has a fair few of these acts for me:

Shame - One of my favourite Post Punk bands at the moment, much more accessible than bands like BCNR and Black Midi, and absolutely ferocious live

Wunderhorse - Saw them support Fontaines D.C. in Swansea last year and really took to them. Their debut is excellent, and a lot of their songs have a great 'shout along' qualities to them - can see people find their sound a little samey though

The Murder Capital - Another Post Punk act, similar in keeping to Fontaines D.C., though which band has the more Irish sounding vocalist is up for dicussion. TMC do occasionally foray into pretty heavy stuff for a Post Punk sound too, and are excellent at a stinky guitar tone

The Last Dinner Party - They have one song on Spotify, it bangs, and they have something like 600,000 monthly listeners already. Will do a Wet Leg any second (but likely after Glasto)

Other stages still have some crackers though!

Black Country, New Road - Best Post Punk band in the world, currently touring entirely new material as their vocalist left before their most recent album dropped. Their 'Live from Bush Hall' EP is on streaming/YouTube, and gives you a heads up to the stuff they're currently playing with a few songs missing that they've been writing as they tour. V emotional, v fun, v impressive instrumentation. 'The World's best Slint tribute act'.

Viagra Boys - Like if you crossed Abba and Idles, absolute punk bangers

Jockstrap - Dance/Electro/Indie Pop mashup from one of BCNR's members and another chap, not for every one, as quite 'eclectic', but I've really taken to them recently.

Say She She - Funky, dancy, RnB-y pop rock bangers from a really young band that I imagine will blow up a lot in the coming years

Thanks, Just what I needed!! Viagra boys are 👌🏻

On a very small stage, The Hive? Sunday night, DJ dudes go by the name of TIBASKO. Found them through a playlist.

Thank you for that. Had a listen and I like TIBASKO. Kind of infusion of breaks and house.

Very little of this kind of breaks sound on the lineup so far.

A bit more standard proggy (no breaks) which I have just discovered since release Orca Sound at Glade Dome.

FWIW i'm not a fan of BCNR post departure of their lead singer. Feel like the live at Bush Road is rushed and doesn't work. I'd give them another go on their next studio album when they've had a chance to pull their new sound together properly. Won't be catching them at Glasto unless we're passing through.

Whereas I'm the other way around. Really didn't enjoy them to start with but the little I've heard of the newer stuff is much more preferable to my ears 😁
