Burton870
Hello all, Not long now till the festival and I wanted to get some feedback on those who have taken public transport back to London. Having read many posts online it feels like the consensus is that getting the coach can be slightly more enjoyable than getting the direct train. So I was thinking of getting an early Monday coach to Bristol and then perhaps getting a train from there? Only issue is booking a train in advance from Bristol is that if the coach is significantly delayed then I may miss my train booking. I could continue on the coach from Bristol but worried about Monday morning traffic. Do you think coach to bristol then train could be the best plan? Apologies if this has been asked many times before!

If you have a NE coach booked you know when you'll get out of the festival, but if you did the Castle Cary shuttle, there are big queues. But I would also factor in that the coach could get caught in traffic so no guarantee when you'd get to BTM in good time. Probably best to buy your train ticket once there. I know more expensive, but not as expensive as buying a scheduled ticket and missing the train. Also, check where the coaches go. The Bristol bus station is a significant walk to BTM. deepkittycaz
The shuttle bus from the festival to Bristol goes straight to Temple Meads station. The timetable is now up on the Glastonbury website. I think it's £30-odd quid for a single this year.
