Who are you looking forward to catching on Thursday?

I'd also pretty much written off seeing anyone after a few years of attempting to see stuff which was ultimately too rammed to be enjoyable, but now I'm getting tempted again. I guess Palm Trax B2B Job Jobse in Levels will be a write-off - would Midland on Iicon maybe be OK given the capacity? Did anyone see anyone on Iicon last year on the Thurs?

Does anyone know what capacity WG was, I can’t see it was more than 5k so I don’t think it not being there will make such a difference. Personally I didn’t find the Thursday that bad last year for crowds especially in the SE corner, we went to the temple for a bit as there was a very short queue (no way our group would have waited more than 15 mins for DnB) then spent the last few hours at Genosys until the end. Thought crowding in that area was way worse on the Saturday

Anyway in answer to the question haven’t done the Baggy Mondays since 16 would like to go if tent now big enough to get in bit given it’s just after eats everything I doubt we will even try then Dan Avery at the Glade although not sure why it finishes at 2.25 and not 2.55 like the rest of their lineup on other days

Thursday night is stacked across the board. I've made a note of all the acts I would see but my priority is showing my friends around and reacquainting them with the place (their first time since '09 and '11 respectively). Wherever we might be at a particular time will determine who I see. That said, I'll definitely be at the Temple opener

PRONGHORN

They are. 10pm in Rocket Lounge. Found them for the first time last year at Boomtown and they were so much fun.

Do you know anyone else similar on the lineup?

yeah Pronghorn are great fun live!

but really sorry, to answer your question - i dont.

The reality check has kicked in for me, there is so much I want to do/see and I'd normally stomp all over for it. But with the kids in tow I'm seriously cutting it down and I've tried to work out a 'rough area' plan rather than a stage plan.

My lineup is looking way more mainstream than usual this year as I've picked out things the kids will love too. Going to be a case of just seeing what entertainment comes to us instead of hunting it out.

Thursday potentials.....

Sarah Story > Girls Don't Sync > Palms Trax b2b Job Jobse > Paranoid London (Live) > Sherelle b2b I. Jordan > Anz b2b Special Request

Tbh there's so much on the Thursday I could quite easily plan an entirely different night and still have fun.

Few of my mates want to hit up The Temple for a bit of DnB for instance, but I CBA queueing to get in so that might have to wait until the Sunday.

My mate is getting in on a coach at some point on Thursday so it'll be subject to him as I've promised to meet him at the gate when he comes in so he can find the campsite and get straight on it without dicking about.

However currently on my list is Baggy Mondays (obvs), Inja into London Elektricity @ Glade Dome, Beatles Dub Club into Panic Shack on Truth, maybe Showhawk Duo in Croissant Neuf, then back to Truth for Skindred and Ho99o9. Very much a first pass though, got some serious Clashfinder work to do this evening!

I’m after a recommendation for Thursday night like 9pm - 11pm ish! Gonna see panic shack but think they finish like 9pm so after something to see after. Any band / act with instruments, nothing electronic

Kangaroo Moon or Old Time Sailors?  Kangaroo Moon are pretty good, caught them before.

Just looked at the Clashfinder for Thursday and I don't think I've ever seen so many acts and so many open venues.  I guess given the loss of WG and the crowding issues in previous years this may be deliberate to spread people out over the site and I think it just might work.

i'll throw this out as an idea for Thursday:

i can't speak for the current show - but i saw these guys a few years ago (just stumbled by chance into the tent) and it was brilliant, it was equal parts amazing and terrifying.

in fact, i don't think i've ever been so pleased that i don't touch drugs anymore (they're baad mmmkay) - if i had seen that show in the mid '90's i dread to think what would have happened to my mind...

Thank you. I’m putting it down on my list

Good plan. Thursday crowds can be overwhelming so best to be flexible. We'll take it as it comes but don't really want to miss Skindred on the Truth stage (even that may get ditched if too busy)

One thing I've learnt is to always keep them well feed. Kids will be loving it and pretty cooperative until the hunger kicks in and then the happy vibe quickly disappears...

For Baggy Mondays, do you try to get into the tent, or just listen from outside? I’ve done both, and if the weathers good, sitting just above Stonebridge the sounds not too bad. New tent May ease some of the congestion though.

There’s a nice little run of good acts on the Croissant Neuf Bandstand from 12.30pm - 2.30pm.

Bookended by Keke Manikii and Apple Shakers both of who I’ve listened to a fair bit since the line up came out. Hoping to chill out there for a few hours in the early afternoon.

A second this looks like a nice afternoon in the sun 🙂

Kangaroo Moon have played every year since I started going in 94 so I'll be there at Toad Hall out of sheer tradition.
