Elton’s guest list…

Think Kiki Dee is pretty nailed on, Dua Lipa and Taron Egerton quite likely too.

The absolute dream would be for Eminem to show up, him and Beyonce being the two that could be possible but highly unlikely.

It could be anyone really with Elton knowing everyone, that's what makes it so exciting I think. Sam Fender he was praising highly not too long ago and after last year's set could be possible? But also he's performed with Axl Rose before at Freddie Mercury's tribute concert, it could be anyone!

am I alone in just wanting to hear Elton John sing his songs instead of Elton ft. XX celebrity cosinging?

For the duets, okay, but I don't want to hear Ed bloody Sheeran coming on to butcher Benny and the Jets with his stupid ruddy loop machine.

Agree 100%

I don't mind a couple, Dua Lipa and Kiki Dee, for obvs reasons, but am I alone in just wanting to hear Elton John sing his songs instead of Elton ft. XX celebrity cosinging?

I’m with you. Even Cold Heart at his recent gig I didn’t take to. It was Karaoke Elton. Backing track, and crowd required to sing the Dua Lipa part.

And I’m no fan of Don’t Go Breaking My Heart in the first place.

Take that back.  Take it back now.  🤨

Roger Daltrey and Stevie Wonder would be my two favoured ones (that are slightly realistic given their connections - Stevie recently did a song with EJ and Roger has performed his songs before, whilst Elton performed Pinball Wizard in Tommy) but it'll most likely be some pop dross like Dua Lipa or Harry Styles to keep him cool and relevant with the kids.

After begrudgingly realising I should be at Elton instead of QOTSA on the Sunday night, I've been looking through Elton's back catalogue for some of tracks I don't know to get me sufficiently pumped. DJ Spotify threw Finish Line at me the other day and I can confirm it to be a big, fat, chubby banger. What are odds of ol' Stevie popping out for a tune or two? Looks like he is on tour and Glasto falls in a handily placed gap between his US and Australasia dates.

Imagine the disappointment when the only guest is Blue…

However, any chance that he could bring out Billy Joel? They have played together before and he is due to be at Hyde Park not long after the festival…? Could then set up a proper appearance from Joel in 2024…could be pretty special…

I'd really love him to play I Want Love or This Train Don't Stop but reckon there's no chance.  Seem to recall that was a period of his life when he wasn't happy and that album reminds him of it.  Shame as it's great.
