Overcrowding Predictions

Based on the line up and stage times, which artists do you think are likely to result in overcrowding this year?

Some immediate ones that come to mind:

•Fred Again… on Other Stage

•Nia Archives at Nowhere Stage on Thursday night

•Chemical Brothers at Arcadia

Also the mass migration from Other Stage to Pyramid after Fred Again to Arctic Monkeys

Agreed. A few of my friends want to do both of these things but after being stuck in the Arcadia/Park squash last year, I’m not feeling so sure…

Definitely think so, there’s no other big dance option on Saturday night. Reckon it will be rammed.

I think it'll be OK, personally (not that I'm going!). The profile of headliners across the 5 main stages will split the crowd well, I reckon. FBS - busy, but not 'overcrowded'.

Also, inexplicably to me, some people just can never be bothered to go up to The Park, so him being up there is another factor in it not being rammo, I think.

Not that I want to see people stuck in crowds but this one will help me get a spot for AM.

Others of acts I know:

- Jamie Webster at Avalon

- Mel C at Avalon

- Example at Glade

Yeah fair. I think GNR will get a very decent sized crowd. Where you heading on Saturday night?

Well...

Frustratingly none of the headliners are pushing my buttons, so a few of us are headliner-free that night (likely Fever Ray Friday and defo Phoenix Sunday...). Plan atm is Kid Kapichi in Leftfield (or Ezra Collective on WH, damn you, Glastonbury!) before heading up to Lonely Hearts for the first half of the night, then to the SEC for the second half.

It's sometimes quite liberating not having a 'proper' headliner set that you want to see!

I wonder if a certain viral video from last year will help Jamie Webster’s crowd…it’s how I discovered him.

I think Elton will be one of the biggest headliner crowds of all time: a legendary and still very popular act closing his career, first time at the festival and add in the Sunday boost in numbers. Though I think it will manifest itself in the crowd going back further into the field than problematic crushes towards the front.

A random one but lots of people talking about Guilty pleasures in the park on Thursday. Making me want to avoid it at all costs. It seems no one has thought about the cheesy disco crowd from Williams Green and so now that one single hour in the rabbit hole which is VERY small is going to rammo! With everyone all in one go...

Same here although we do spend a lot of other time up there. Camping in pennard helps

Was rammed last time it was in The Glade

Should be on the weekend in a bigger venue. Especially with his passing I'm sure lots will want to be there.

Should wheel out a DJ desk before Elton during the change over and give em 45 mins to bring the tunes
