Not that uncommon for a lot of acts, especially older ones. Often catch singers looking down and clearly checking up on the lyrics in front of them.

I saw Lana on the pyramid in 2013 (?) and was decidedly uncaptivated. Better production, night time slot and watching it on telly rather than from a mile away will do it.
