Question is.... do I have the celebratory drink before the second run, or not? Think I might just steel myself, get the second run done, in order that I can fully enjoy it.

I would love to say that I will be sensible enough to hold off until I am fully set up before having a drink but I'm not and my frozen margarita cocktail box will only stay frozen for so long.

I am already looking forward to the  heat stroke / exhaustion that Mrs Shanks is going to get and the inevitable argument that follows

I'll be just about leaving the hotel for Bristol Bus Station. Last time they didn't give a damn about which time you'd booked, so hopefully can just walk onto any coach waiting there.

Once on the coach... first swig of rum? Possibly.

They were a bit more ‘on it’ last year, they turned a few chancers away for the 6:30am bus that had tickets for the 7am. Standards will likely slide as the day goes on though.

Hoping to be wandering over to my first shift as an Oxfam steward.

Genuinely praying I get the 6am - 2pm shift on the Weds so I can be at the gates to welcome everyone in!

It's a great shift but if you're not, suggest sitting on the hill above the ribbon tower and watching the people come in from all corners... it's truly fascinating!

I should be trying to get my wristband around this time in a week, I'll have been in CV East overnight and have let the Ped Gate queue die down before going in to get wristbanded.

Then a run round to the cider bus for my first proper Glastonbury pint in 7 years as we last got tickets in 2016!

Last time it was about noon. Was literally no one else there and when we rocked up and asked someone where the 12 o'clock coach was and they just waved us on and we left about 11:15. Fingers crossed it's calmed down by then, but can understand they keep it tight earlier in the day.
