balti-pie
£4.90 seems like an impossible bargain these days! It’d be £8 now, or £11 with artisan ingredients
Drinky
Not sure how you could gentrify bacon, chips and cheese in a baguette... pancetta, wedges and brie in sourdough?

frostypaw
I never understood why with so much wonderful varied food that you couldn't casually get at home anyone would opt for something you could knock up in minutes.

Same reason all the places doing any combination of trad english breakfast stuff are really busy in the morning. People like the familiar. The soft roll would definitely help, but I’d prefer a much nicer cheese than Monterey Jack. A bit of stinking bishop wouldn’t go amiss, I’d say, but otherwise that sounds absolutely spot on and I would totally bung a tenner at someone for that. Crazyfool01
@stuartbert two hats made one on an early virtual meet . crumbs I think id be needing masses of insulin for one of those . Sadly my diet is a bit restricted at the festival as I need to know carb content ideally . I do end up guessing a fair bit but stick to stuff im more familiar with . One of the times I really struggle with type 1 diabetes as it restricts my choice

discgoesmic
Last year, a friend had a wedding at Pennard House (big Glastonbury fans, coming with us this year) and hired the bloke who founded The Growler. I got to have one in the evening and it was delicious! The owner was saying he now caters for events/weddings but wouldn't ever look to go back to Glastonbury due to the sheer cost. I would recommend tracking him down if you'd like one again!
