Capers
First timers flying into Bristol on Tuesday night then going to make our way to the festival on Wednesday morning. The question is what's the best way to do this? The 2 options I've seen so far are the train to castle Cary and then shuttle bus or there's also the 376 (or some number in that general area haha) to Glastonbury town and then a shuttle bus to the festival from there. What do you think is the best option? I imagine it's going to be really busy either way Edited June 14, 2023 by Capers Spelling error
ChemicalBrother
I don’t know sorry, but I just thought I’d stop by to say that I love your attitude - you got your tickets months ago, booked your flights, & then less than a week before the festival you decide you need to consider how you’re going to get to the site. You & Glastonbury are going to get on juuuuust fine with laid back approach 👍
Mike A
National Express still has space from Bristol Bus & Coach, but earliest available is the 12:30 departure which should get you to Ped Gat A between 13:30-14:00.
jobo_
Your options are in terms of public transport. National Express from Bristol bus station direct to the festival for about 30 quid each. Train to Castle Carey from Temple Meads Taxi - about 80-100 quid. Ask in the lift forum here on Efestivals.
CaledonianGonzo
Taxi from Bristol Airport to Bath & West should be about £
The Nal
Get a taxi. Nightmare otherwise and itll waste half your day.
Jimbojam
You can get the airport flyer to either temple meads train station or Bristol bus station and then catch the 376 as you mentioned, that is the cheapest option for a couple of bus tickets, should be around £12 return each, ask for singles for the public buses as they are currently capped at £2 each for singles by the government (airport bus is not capped as privately operated)

I paid £60 last year from the site to Bristol Airport. Great option for 4 of us.
jambo89
Have done this journey last year and doing it again this time. Flying from Glasgow to Bristol on Tuesday (arriving quite late) and staying at the Hilton at the airport a 5 minute walk from the airport and breakfast in the morning, we have booked the national express coach from the airport which actually departs from just outside the hotel. Departs at 9am (last year it was a bit late) arrived onsite about 1040. The coach was ideal as the managed to get quite close to gate A we only queued for about an hour to get in.
