Paramore have the same number of monthly listeners as Foo Fighters (20 mill). Much bigger than some here may think. Double Pixies, 4 times The National etc. etc. 

Surely they would headline if they played.

When they've announced names early in the past it's been "classic Primavera" acts like Depeche Mode, Pavement and The Strokes though hasn't it? With Taylor Swift as an early announcement would they risk potentially putting off the usual crowd from buying early bird tickets - if they give the impression of a change in direction?

Either way I don't think she's likely. Not impossible though as the festival is much bigger now.

It could have been fifteen years ago, now I don't think they are relevant, they should already be proud to take the Maneskin slot, I understand you are fans but they have been absent from the scene for quite a while🤷🏻‍♂️

I'm also not a Paramore fan for the record but I do think they're big and have become relevant again as their last album seems to have gone down very well with everyone. I'm not hoping they're booked but think they could be.

If you have a massive ticket seller, you could argue it's better to announce the name after the low price early bird tickets (i.e. the loyal fans) have already been sold.

what's the crossover rate with oblivion access? just checking it now, what a stellar line up! I can't recall any small european festival of this quality (i like the more doom/industrial vibe of it than, say, Le guess who). I would love duster or yellow swans at primavera...

Apparently, before Taylor Swift added 14 more dates and announced Paramore, some 3 million people had registered for the pre-sale, for something like only 900,000 available tickets.

Far too big and also happy being a money making machine. If the National played, maybe she would come out for a track or two if she was bored.

Paramore are also a lot bigger than some people are giving them credit for and they would probably expect to headline if they played.

It is all very convenient, but it just doesn't feel right.

Mad Cool this year (new venue) is already getting reviews coming in that are so bad it makes Primavera Madrid seem like an absolute dream event. It also finishes at 2am which is truly pathetic for Spain.

Looks awful, feels awful, wedged in like battery hens in a dirty industrial estate in the back arse of town. Really poor fare.

I agree with you but there was a fair level of skepticism they'd be around due to Candidas arthritis. But nice to have some more confirmation which is why I shared it? Don't see what the issue is.

So early bird sales finish this week,  for Barcelona, are we expecting anything about Madrid ticket holders and the cancellation of the Thursday this week.

Is VIP for Barcelona worthwhile? I had it for the Madrid fest this year and didn't really feel much benefit aside from it being easier to get Ciudad reservations, is the Barca experience notably better?

I hope the organisers will not broaden the scope further. I mean: What's beyond Calvin Harris and Maneskin? Do we really wanna know that?
