I was cautious to say "in my case" the timetable won't change much, and I stand by this, since the lineup is so good that it will be very difficult to find gaps where there is not already something I want to see. But of course in general having the timetable is on the day is pretty bad to discover bands. Also it is not like the timetable will have many of us rush to book flights tonight to see a clashing band elsewhere. Flights? No, but Amyl & The Sniffers have a London show going on sale on Friday morning and I want to know if I can see them at Primavera without a clash before I book tickets. Deftones are my must see so if any other band on my list clashes I can take them off my playlist. Also, got a few other festivals this summer so want to know who to watch where. Yakkety Yak
2 hours ago, Fabrizzo said: This is not correct, someone could see the bands clashing in another concert before the PS or organize to see them at the Ciutat... having the timetables as early as possible allows you to make these choices Definitely, I got lucky last year that they announced it just early enough for me catch Alvvays in London after they were put up against Depeche Mode. Its helpful to know! It seems silly to delay unless they absolutely have to.

JedTheHumanoid
and meanwhile Beth Gibbons keeps releasing great singles making the Thursday clashes even harder. common give us something today
diancieprince
if the timetables are not announced today, we should expect the worst. The drop of Shellac and the supposed recent drop of Kim Petras ( I have always maintained that the drop was communicated and known by the team weeks before the rest of us) must have been a blow to them at the organizational level... still I don't understand why they are taking so long to publish the timetables, if this is a marketing strategy, they definitely won't be able to sell many more tickets at this point. xxialac
Beth G getting great reviews across the board. With 150 bands playing they can lose a few bands with no real issues on ticket sales. Losing Lana Del Rey would really hurt them, otherwise I reckon commercially they would be fine with any withdrawal.
diancieprince
if they really wanted to emulate Coachella strategy would have been easier for them to announce through social media that this year the timetables would be released a few days before the start of the festival, or even a week before... but they've been repeating 'two weeks before, as usual' for days now... JedTheHumanoid
yeah, all these 'very soon...' replies are not a good strategy. just give a date, even if it's next week. worse case make it earlier, we wont be mad

xxialac
Very soon in the context of when the timetables have already normally been released implies to most people they are very imminent, as in that day or the next day. Especially when accompanied by wink-wink memes. Annoying your paying customers unnecessarily (just be more guarded or set a date ) is never a good marketing strategy. churlie100
FKA and Kim Petras out with no replacements. Never change Primavera 💖 Love the cheek of them pretending it's some kind of mutual artistic decision on not FKA just being FKA. We've been saying this for months so not completely shocked but DEFINITELY disappointed as that show was supposed to give me new life on a sleepy Saturday.
