Little roundup. All these are around very close to Primavera and I guess atleast 75% is nailed on.

The National, Pulp, PJ Harvey

Fontaines DC, Sleaford Mods, King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard, Future Islands, Orbital, Mitski, Jane's Addiction, The Mountain Goats, Faye Webster, IceAge, Richard Hawley, The Paper Kites, Night Beats, Bdrrm, Amyl & The Sniffers, Bob Vylan, Waveform*

Sleaford Mods too busy throwing a strop to a Palestinian scarf being thrown on stage

so close to primavera sound core fanbase that even with two other barcelona dates, i would still count them in 😄

They played twice in June 2022, and again in November 2022 at the Weekender, and now in February 2024. It seems unlikely they would be asked again, but if they are, they might very well say yes (if only because very few festivals are asking them).

Both Barcelona and Madrid shows are organized by Primavera, not sure if it makes it more or less likely (probably more)

Yeah, more I'd say. Slowdive are hot property at the moment, it's possible they can can fill Razz in early February then Ray Ban (or bigger) stage four months later.

Ok, any ideas on the historical punk band then?

I don't think the booking proces has specific boxes like that to tick. If no legacy band like Descendents or Bad Religion is around, there simply isn't gonna be one. Still, its early and many bands that'll be touring next summer haven't been announced anywhere yet.

I can see PS bring Bane, Incendiary or Gel in terms of Hardcore/Punk, but apart from that, I don't see many fitting bands around. However its not really a core genre, so they could sip it alltogether.

Interpol seems to be in europe kinda around the time of primavera. I know that they're over their prime, but they're still surprisingly popular. I'd be happy to see them, cause their setlist mostly focuses on old material and they're quite good live

100% ruled out, they'll be in South America with four shows at least from May 31 to June 7

Kglw in Italy on June 4th too,  their absence seems very very strange as they said...

Maybe I read too much into this, since it's not even confirmed. But if they really decide to not book fan-favourites like KGLW and Slowdive for this year even though they are around, this might be a sign that they are confident with the line-up and maybe save those for 2025/2026.

Or King Gizz have formally acknowledged Catalan independence and thus refuse to call their PS date a Spain show
