my dreamworld prediction (be lucky to get 2 of these)

mbv / nin

pulp / james blake

lana del ray / pj harvey

some under cards i’d love to see: killer mike, deerhoof, young fathers, f**ked up, deerhunter

certainly dreamworld as NIN are taking what seems to be a touring hiatus.

Yeah I forgot about this, would be good to see a solo set although not heard any of his stuff yet. Is it similar to Fontaines?

I'm really liking it so far. Slower/softer than most of the Fontaines stuff but some of it is beautiful. Some folk tendencies in there. I could see him play a slot like Maggie Rodgers did at Cupra and it working well assuming he brings a band.

That said he hasn't announced a tour yet.

Where oh where is Bradford Cox and is his health ok (and can he be one of the first names they book for 2024)?

Soccer Mommy and Empire State Bastard would be great.

No idea if she’s touring but would Miley do it? Not sure if she fits Primaveras vibe.

I mean she did Primavera already so I guess she does fit the vibe.

if they continue getting one K-pop name per year I’d bet on NewJeans next year. They’re getting rave reviews from major publications and the music is quite excellent if you’re into pop music.

After seeing (and loving) Perfume and Kyary this year I would love to see another J-pop name (or two) next year. But no idea who - I actually don't know any except for these two.

Loved seeing Perfume as well! Some years ago (2019 I think) I saw Haru Nemuri and it was equally insane. Really hope they can get more J-Pop names for next year.

Bought a ticket for 2024 after 2023 had just too many issues for me and I skipped it. Stoked.

I know how y'all love speculation but at this point I don't see a single name being a reasonable rumour, except for maybe 2023 cancellations. Don't wanna spoil the fun, but if we throw around names without any indication, the actual line up is gonna be a disappointment either way.

Who do you think might reform/come back from hiatus for next year’s festival?

I could see Everything But The Girl playing, Cocteau Twins would be the dream, maybe Grinderman, The Postal Service, Boards of Canada, seeing Neutral Milk Hotel again would be everything, TV On The Radio and MBV are just a few that would be amazing!

tbh a lot of the reunions ive found recently are never that exciting. it's a year late but Pulp will be the big one next year i imagine

I don't know, hearing a favourite band for the first time live is always quite something. But I'm getting older and many tours called "reunions" these days are bands I didn't even realise had been on hiatus for 5 or 10 years. We've also been spoiled and I can't see many bands left that could be reuniting.

I'm not sure predicting "album" anniversaries is going to work. Every album out of five is going to fall on its anniversary year!

Rage against the machine?

If there are Rage shows, if there are not Rage shows, you’ll hear from the band. I do not know. When there is news, it will come from a collective statement from the band. There is no news.”

Tom Morello’s words 3 months ago. Maybe something changed
