It was more to do with Liverpool woeful strikers to be honest.

Especially as utd were on there 5th and 6th choice centre backs, plus 4th choice left back.

The extraordinary goal that brought Man United level did help with the mood swing. Quansah's pass was far too lax but I don't think anyone thought Bruno Fernandes would just welly it in. And irony is that if Kelleher did touch it, which he was an inch or two from doing, he would've been sent off for saving outside the box.

But yeah. Liverpool were extremely wasteful, particularly given that like us at Newcastle or Luton or Brentford or Brighton or f**k knows who else, Man United are having injury trouble, made worse by it being hyper-concentrated especially on the one area. Might be why a Coventry City fan I know is suddenly getting more excited about the upcoming semi.

Two points dropped, not unexpectedly given the players who are out and the struggles we've often had at Old Trafford, but man alive, we should have buried them in the first half. The sooner Jota is back, the better. He'd have had a whale of a time in that match.

Still in our hands, we just need to win every goal and score 10 more that Arsenal. No worries.

You can't dominate a half that much and only score 1, was always going to be a different second half. Nobody to blame but ourselves.

Still think City will run away with it.

I just hope that Klopps last season doesn't end with just the Carabao Cup.

Tbf I think Liverpool are still Europa League favourites. As a finale, winning that in Dublin would be a valid way to go out on a high.

I still think the Premier League is too close to call. Sure, Man City are going to be strong candidates to win, but I don't think this City team will superman the field and win by a double-digit points margin. Plus Arsenal seem more robust. If Man City had beaten Arsenal last week, I'd have gone with calling it for them.

Well Spurs still have to play all three of Man City, Arsenal and Liverpool. So whether they like it or not, they do have a role in this title race. Even if my first hope is that they lose at St James' Park to Newcastle next Saturday.

Aston Villa have to play Arsenal and Liverpool as well in fairness.

spurs can only gift it to arsenal by gifting them points when they play each other.

Look, i'll happily take Spurs losing 10-0 at Anfield if it helps 😁

Got away with it with just 2 more points deducted. In our hands to stay up now, and the relegation battle looks wide open all the way up to 14th!

Given the Premier League called for this second breach to be 5 points but the commission reduced it to two, could've been worse.

Certainly Spurs fans would dispute this and prefer they put in the most effort of playing the 3 title contenders to thwart Arsenal.

That's one option too.

Best bit of the ruling was the invasion of Ukraine can't be a mitigating factor as Everton should of been aware it might happen after the salisbury poisoning

We've done some of that, we managed to get the first breach delayed to this season instead of admitting guilt and being punished last season, which would've seen us relegated.

It's mad how poor the league is though, an 8 point total deduction and 1 win in 14 and we're still not in the relegation zone.

Also Brentford and Palace have quietly had seriously bad seasons to still be in danger at this point, they were miles ahead a few weeks ago

Spurs have drawn twice out of the last six league games at anfield, so no, its not a default at all. You crack on though.

Given there were 3 1/2-4 years between Salisbury and Putin ordering Russia to go in, that is a bold claim. I know some analysts suggested that a rambling essay Putin published in the summer of 2021 that Russia was entitled to overthrow Ukraine's government was the moment they thought he was going to go for it, but even then, people didn't think he'd do it and you certainly wouldn't have thought people within Everton at that time thought it would give them a problem.
