payneruk
I'm just trying to set my phone up for optimum festival mode. Choosing my 4 apps that you're allowed in ultra power saving mode. Writing my friends phone number on a sticker on the back of my phone in case I lose it. And selecting my default bank card for tap and pay. mandana
My friend asked Glastonbury queries about this and they said Amex is NOT accepted at bars etc. There might be some smaller traders that accept it but they couldnt confirm. They said the cashpoints would let you withdraw from the cash machines, but probably need to make sure you have a different card. If you go for cash, please use the lockups. incident
Most of the smaller traders will use SumUp or Zettle payment terminals, which will accept Amex. Other places your mileage may vary depending on what systems they use and what agreements they have, but I certainly wouldn't assume it'll be accepted universally. Because there's various different bar operators on site, I wouldn't expect the answer to be the same across all of them.
Lucy92
From memory, some did some didn’t. I personally wouldn’t rely on it
