Mind you with all this positivity, I'm still heading to decathlon soon to pick up some additional waterproofs.

A tribute to weather Gods.

Just waterproof sprayed my walking boots and jacket.

My waterproofs still consist of a 3 quid poncho I bought on site in 2016 and used for 10 minutes.

About to go to its 5th Glasto.

How do you cope with the little rain cloud that's always over your head?

BBC forecast is just saying there might be a bit of light rain now and again. No point even taking waterproofs for that, is there?

BBC talk utter nonsense according to everyone here, but they've actually been pretty consistent all the way through the last few days.

Honestly the amount of people talking about packing for all eventualities really irritates me. Bring your clothes. Make a call last minute for wellies. Buy a poncho on site if it rains.

Agreed. If your outfit changes significantly depending on the weather, you’re doing it wrong.

Current forecast is identical to what we got in 2022. Absolute scorcher for opening day. Cools down massively for the weekend. We got so lucky that weekend. Still way too early though  - rollercoaster has only just begun

This would be fine in a world without weather gods, but we don't live in that world

Yeah, respect the weather gods. I'm packing for snow forecast. And also heatwave. Sensible

Agree with this. All I've ever needed in nearly 30 years is a Buffalo shirt. Hot, cold, wet, dry it does it all.

Here are the maximum temperatures being modelled by the major models for each day.

Sat: 20 / 21 / 20 / 21 /-

Sun: 20 / 20 / 24 / -/ -

20 is plenty if the sun's out, it's 18c and sunny today up norf and it's really warm.

Those are great temperatures for traversing site.

Still some caution for me, even with the more favourable model runs over the last 12 hrs. Models generally don’t handle features that  develop from the continent, very well (like the one across SE England at the weekend in the 06z). Wouldn’t be suprised to see some flip flopping over the next few days with that so get ready for a bit of a roller coaster of emotions.
