Funnily enough this GFS run is almost near identical to the ECMWF GraphCast (AI) run that I shared yesterday, high pressure starting to ridge back in on the Friday and north/south split. 🤔

 

This GFS run improves on it ever so slightly I would say.

Temps overnight into Thursday of a barmy 16-17.

 

 

Very similar pressure picture, and it all relies on what happens with possible low which could develop in Spain. Latest on the right.

GET IN! UPGRADE KLAXON!

 

Dry other than showers show light they would evaporate before hitting the ground. Highs of 25-26.

 

Temps overnight into Friday up to 17-18.

 

 

Pressure not quite as good in this run, so we're just waiting on the lows north and south to be repelled. Rain is shitting northern France due to this. Latest on the right.

 

 

FRIDAY

 

Completely dry, highs of 20-21.

 

Temps overnight into Saturday of 15.

 

 

 

Possible pocket developing again in northern France, which is causing that torrential rain for them. But will it get to Glasto? Latest on the right.

 

 

SATURDAY

 

Completely dry, highs of 20-21.

 

Temps overnight into Saturday of 12-13.

 

 

 

Small drop in temperatures is due to the battle to hold onto the high. Yet the high does seem to be winning! This is happening! Latest on the right.

Completely dry, highs of 21-22.

 

Temps overnight into Monday of 12-13.

That’s….not how this works. By definition, the latest forecast is the most likely to be accurate. Doesn’t matter what was forecast 3 days ago!
