During the day it needs to be overcast and 20 degrees. The clouds will part for a glorious sunset, but then return for a bit of insulation maintaining a steady 18 degrees through the night. The clouds get very heavy at dawn making it seem like it's almost night until at least 10am when it can start warming to 20 degrees again. And no rain at all, obviously. This is repeated every single day. Edited May 30 by devonhammer 7

Even after a hot sunny day it can get bloody chilly once the sun goes down.

4AssedMonkey
The NFR NFC mantra rings true. It's not about temperature. It's about dryness and the state of the ground. R**n is evil at Festy time and in the build up. Wet + 200,000 feet stomping is a nightmare. I hate the slidy puddle stage, the slurry stage, the sticky clumpy clay stage, I HATE it! Could be 5 DegC and dry, I'd take it.

Nothing beats slipping arse over tit in the slurry at a festival - especially on the concrete slope from the railway line to the Other Stage. I've still got a scar on my knee from 2016 to prove it! My mate got stuck the sticky mud in 2012, going from the track towards Glade. It took 4 people to free her wellies. This was at 4am on our way back to our Hitchin Hill camp. Not drunk (much 🤪).
