Aragorn
Some good agreement now for a dry start to the festival. The operational run does not have much agreement from other runs on bringing the low in during the festival. The mean is a much better outcome. AdrianH
ECM seems keen on building high pressure back into Greenland with cooler air dropping down to the east side of the UK. Zero clarity still basically!
Jacko45
47 minutes ago, Sheffield Steve said: The midnight run of the ECMWF continues its theme of warm dry weather, at least until the Friday. It still wants to keep the high firmly fixed to our west, with a northerly flow, but with the strong sunshine at this time of year temperatures would still be into the low 20s. An excellent run… When Steve says "Excellent Run"
dotdash79
Ordered a golf umbrella yesterday for the overnight queue in case it rains, you can all thank me later.
Sheffield Steve
For those of us arriving on Monday, our very own Met Office model is now out to Monday night. And what a stunner it is. I shall enjoy erecting my tent in this…sunny and warm, temperatures up to 25c. All the models agree on a great deal of high pressure around next week, which can only be a good thing, they just vary on its exact position…
Nobody Interesting
The reason the overnight runs are not as good or are bad is that this is the chap who puts them together.
Mrbish82
AccuWeather have finally caught up to yesterday's model runs, and updated their forecast accordingly, it does show some lightning for Saturday which is worrying, but I believe that is just the light show for Coldplay.
Fred Zepplin
Not got tickets this year but can't help looking in this thread anyway. Looking at the predictions I think you will be in for brilliant weather which makes me even more gutted I'm not there. Dare I say people complaining about being to hot

AdrianH
06z GFS is rolling out and has the high pressure to start the festival much more favourably positioned. It's what happens with the small low pressure systems now!
ramblingmad
Happy with a dry and warm start, if it rains a bit on Saturday evening/Sunday no great shakes.
devonhammer
Looks great Feel a bit sorry for the Azores. They've given us so much over the years and AzoreStock might be a washout.
Avalon_Fields
The BBC is showing drizzle, for one hour on Friday, other than that all clear. It’s unbelievable Jeff! Almost getting nostalgic for @The Nalapocalyptical posts

If this all verifies, it’ll be dry and pleasantly warm, not hot. Perfect! 🤞
AdrianH
Latest GFS is as about as good as it gets. Low to mid 20s and dry.

Not a drop of rain. Warm, but not too hot. Not too cold at night. And this is coming from both the ECM and GFS. briddj
Let's get back on the bus with the 06Z! THROUGH TO GATES OPEN The weekend rain tracks south of the UK and hits the English channel. Still one to keep an eye on there, but in this run it's completely dry over the weekend and at the start of next week. Highs of 22-23 on Monday and Tuesday too ... which suggests high pressure is winning! GATES OPEN & WEDNESDAY 19-20 when gates open. Completely dry all day with highs of 24-25. Overnight temps into Thursday morning of 13-14. As you can see from the latest pressure chart (on the right), high pressure is firmly in control unlike on the 00Z (on the left). THURSDAY Completely dry, highs of 24-25. Overnight temps into Friday morning of 16-17. FRIDAY Completely dry, highs of 26-27. Overnight temps into Saturday morning of 17-18. SATURDAY Completely dry, highs of 24-25. Overnight temps into Sunday morning of 13-14. High pressure really is dominant. SUNDAY Completely dry, highs of around 24. SUMMARY Nothing more to say other than SCORCHIO! 1 1
