The midday ECM still has rain but it’s pushed it back a bit….

Wednesday is dry and warm…

and now Thursday stays dry, but the rain comes in overnight and it could be heavy…

Friday looks to be a wet day, with the chance of heavy thundery rain from the south…

On Saturday, the main rain has cleared through but with that warm and moist southerly flow, there’s always the chance of heavy showers…

That’s two runs in a row that ECM has brought this rain in.    Got to be a concern….

The last year I didn't take wellies was 2005, this was the result,

Weather had been great, the forecast was great except for one day of potential rain, in my cocky frame of mind I thought "one day of rain can't do much" In the event it wasn't even a full day of rain just about 20 hours of monsoon like downpours, lessons were learned.

Heh… back into the cupboard of my motorhome going by the latest run

Another dire overnight run from the GFS im afraid. Low pressure gets in and stays near us. Warm start but rain about for several days and a cool weekend.

f**k this country, one good week and its back to grey rubbish.

These morning runs are mood killers this week.

UKMO is a bit better but that low pressure is still too close and moving up towards the UK by Thursday.

See what the ECM thinks shortly.

As I keep saying, be so frustrating for normal June temps to arrive for about 6 days then drop right off again :(

Still time for the pendulum to swing back the other way

Yep not over yet, but fair to say last 24 hours the majority of runs have said it'll be cooler with showers over the weekend :(.

I think its about 50/50 still. If the low pressure goes far enough south, we get the warm/dry start to the festival with maybe a visit of the low pressure towards the weekend. The GFS version is the one we need to avoid as it lingers on for days and seriously suppresses the temperatures.

The GFS brings the rain in earlier than UKMO. Even Wednesday has rain by midday getting wetter as the afternoon progresses..

Thursday brings another band of rain up from the south..

and Friday maintains the theme with rain or showers with the low nearby.

Plenty of time for this to change though with still a week to go…we’ve seen many a flip flop in the past…

So the operational run is a bit of a red herring and anyway all the rain being forecast is a full week away at this point which is loads of time for it to change back to scorchio and dry just to get out hopes up and then back again.
