I’m gutted I missed….

Caroline Polachek / The War on Drugs - decided to wait at Pyramid after fearing they'd close off the field / I wouldn't get back for Elton. I've seen TWOD recently so not the end of the world but would've liked to have seen Caroline!

Young Fathers - Clash with Fred

Viagra Boys - Went with the rest of my group with Blondie

Budget cuts. Or hosepipe ban. 😉

I think they are genuinely trying to use less water on site. Hence the "one sink for a whole block of longdrops at campsites" thing. Replaced by sanitiser pumps.

It's more to do with problems caused by Brexit. The owners can no longer justify the increased costs of bringing into the UK.

This is the real answer then.

I'm gutted I missed:

The end of Guns N Roses. Was really loving it but really wanted to see The Steve Hillage Band at The Glade, reasoning that I'd be able to watch GnR back home but not TSHB. Timed it perfectly I did. And then TSHB were forty minutes late coming on! Still rocked though. I've seen SH there so many times in different set ups but never with a band. Was the SH set I'd always wanted to see.

Blondie. Was one of my must see acts. Saw all of Yusuf. Started to make my way forward into the pit and then started to realise I just couldn't handle standing up for another couple of hours and that I hadn't eaten anything bar a banana for breakfast. Got some grub and then blew off The Hu and ended up watching Nish Kumar in Cabaret. Which was drowned out by sound bleed from a stage that was playing to about ten people but was as loud as the Pyramid. Realising now I could probably have made my way back to Blondie.

I made a lot of mistakes this year. Feel like I only saw about a third of what I could have.Really didn't take my A game and am praying that it's not my last one.

Missed all of it as didn't get a ticket....

But agree on the War On Drugs - sounded absolutely fab on the TV (but had we been there I know we would have missed it to get an Elton spot, similar to others). Seemed super harsh having such a small crowd as it looked and sounded perfect for that slot.

Just generation sex i think: it was boiling and i'd been up since 5am working a shift, and i couldnt face anything other than the Tow and Hitch, shade, sofas and a beer or two while i cooled meself down. I missed em and i regret it, but i had to prioritise resting up a bit. If id not done that, id not have managed the stuff afterwards, so sometimes you just have to take it easy

Gutted I miss the Fred Again Temple secret set, looked mega

I'm more gutted about my sh*t tactics for AM though, ending up behind the second speakers. I'd been determined to get in the front pit again after being in there last year for McCartney. Some mates bottled it, then a few of us ended up going quite far in for Fred on Other; all in all, a recipe for disaster. You live and learn

Did anyone see Toyah? Setlist looked a right old hoot.

Toyah was fantastic - one of the best sets i saw.

the version of Rocking In The Free World was a weekend highlight for me.

however, her constantly banging on about how much she digs her husband soon gets pretty dang tiresome.

Leftfield for sure.

I opted to watch the entirety of GNR, which was great, but in retrospect could have easily watched Leftfield and caught the last hour of GNR. Watched the Leftfield set back on Iplayer and it looked incredible.

An absolute "all timer". Incredibly loud, first time I've noticed the bass vibrating my nostrils.

You could. That's what I did. I arrived in the field as "Civil War" was ending & got into the pit for "You could be mine".

Show off. Not making me feel any better!

Truthfully though, if I'm going to watch a headliner I want to see the whole thing. I've seen leftfield before and I'll see them again, but damnit I wish I'd seen them this time too!

Rina's one of mine - couldn't miss Lizzo though, and least got to see her step up on the Sunday night.

We went from quite near the front at Lizzo to Woodsies for Rina and arrived with time to get a drink, have a piss and still get a decent spot.  Was then planning to walk to Park for FBS but heard it was rammed and couldn't be arsed.  Hung around in Silver Hayes for a bit instead.

Hate to break it to you but Woodies stage was running massively late and you could easily have made it from Lizzo to Rina. We did and sat down for about 25 minutes before she came on.

I had lots of really like to sees this year that I wish I could have seen as well.

I opted for Maisie Peters over Hives and hoped they would be on telly but they aren't which is a bit gutting.

Went for Kanda Bongo Man over Raye and her set was great.

Generally first and second act of the day I had so many clashes made worse by knowing you can't catch them anywhere.

But I didn't see a bad act all weekend so I can't really complain.

I'd seen both Leftfield & GnR before. I was already at the Park after watching the Pretenders, so grabbing some food, a pint & staying for Leftfield was moy choice on the night. I kind of used Leftfield as my headliner & GnR as an added extra.
