Burn out can hit people in different ways. 

He might just need a few months off to rest up, it could be more mental burnout and he needs some proper down time. 

I actually think the album getting a very like warm reception could have hit him. No way of knowing obvs, just a guess!

Could have been advised wrong with the album or anything. Just needs to reset.

Hes a multi millionaire. Im sure he will be alright after taking some time off after a lot of touring last year.

If you’ve not watched the Avicii documentary on Netflix I’d give it a go.

 

Not saying Fred as in the same boat, but sometimes it not as simple as just taking some time off.

I think the album was a case of him doing what he wanted to do, but that wasn’t necessarily what everyone else wanted to hear.

Faithless subbed Glastonbury at their peak and considering The Chemical Brothers had headlined it then they would have been chosen if so. Underworld just no. Absolutely garbage.

Some relative flavours of the month/half year have managed to headline Glastonbury but it's hard to imagine Faithless, or Underworld (as much as I like them - they have 5 - 10 outright amazing songs), ever having had the popularity to do so.  I can't recall Basement Jaxx headlining, without checking, I assume there were fairly unusual circumstances involved.

Heard from someone directly linked to Fred that he’s planning on taking the whole of 2025 off live sets.

 

The only possibility at the moment would be small pop ups to trial new music, but nothing big. Similar to the pub pop ups he did for album 3.

Respectfully disagree. Carl and Rick would do an amazing job (after all they soundtracked the 2012 Olympics opening ceremony to critical acclaim) so they could do something very special and even better than Coldplay for a pyramid headline slot - everyone gets a glowing something or other  and waves it around to Caliban’s Dream - aaaah nice…. However if I was being selfish I’d rather they did IICON and throw some special lighting around after pyramid crowd has gone to bed…

This all sounds splendid but there's no way they would ever have been headlining the Pyramid.  Basement Jaxx had several huge hit singles (Red Alert, Romeo, "Bingo Bango", I feel like I'm also missing a really obvious one 🙂) and even them headlining it must have seemed fairly odd.  It's not a direct comparison.  I'm also unclear on the extent of actual work they did on the Olympics.  A lot of things - McCartney, Arctics, Bowie on loop, can't have been their choices.  Apparently Damon Albarn was asked to do it and declined (not sure why).
