They are simply playing to the fear that a new system makes it harder than ever to get tickets and hoping enough mugs will fall for it to give them a nice earner. Barring problems, the time is somewhat pre-determined - in both the coach sale and the general sale traffic will be drip-fed onto the site at a lower rate than the site is capable of handling, and the anecdotal evidence suggests that they've throttled the coach sale substantially more than the general sale in the past.   Trying to do a direct extrapolation isn't going to work.
