2020 was 17th September. The latest it has been for an October announcement was 18th September in 2016.

Interesting. You'd think November then, I guess (no pattern granted).

Was there any reason why it actually shifted to November last year, or was that just a change they decided to make with no real reasoning? If it's the latter, then you'd think that is gonna become a permanent fixture

In short, Liz Truss.

The enomomic status of the uk and massive inflation caused them to hold off for a month to see where we were at!

I updated mine before last year's sale, so I just 'confirmed' that I wanted to keep my reg. Got me concerned now!

Blimey, at this rate I'm more anxious about finding out when ticket day is rather than the ticket day itself.

Second a total surprise announcement. My nerves would be a jingling-jangling mess, but at least I think my chances would be much higher.

That is certainly the plan. I have decided though that I'll only be going through a paid ticket this year. If I don't get one then I'll just holiday elsewhere again. Got something slightly lined up as a fallback.

I wonder if they realised that having it in November last year had very little impact on the process but allowed them an extra month before the madness began. I'm checking out until Halloween on ticket anxiety as confident not til same weekend this year....
