My point being thats a bit silly

I guess you do technically get to pick your times (well scramble to anyway)

Leaving at 5am on Monday morning is silly yes. But for an extra 20 quid or so you can leave at your leisure later on.

I thought it was 4 for coach tickets too, and it drops to 2 in the resales?

Yeah me too. We'll see in a few weeks anyway.

There’s a fair number who leave Sunday but the majority wait until Monday. I leave early Monday morning - 6-7am - and there’s still around 75% left.

Yeah, can't do the Sunday night thing. Pack most stuff into the van on Sunday afternoon and then leave Monday morning 6am, does mean you need to take it fairly easy the night before but that's ok. Then a stop at Amesbury services to use the porcelain and get breakfast.

My anxiety levels through the roof after realising I'm at the Chemical Brothers O2 gig the night before and won't be at home on the 5th Nov.

I was supposed to be up in London for a gig on the 4th... think I might be binning that one off. Ticket day is stressful enough without adding use of either hotel/friends internet. I guess a good 4/5G tether to a laptop could work though.

Coaches have never been 4 in the Autumn sale. It's been 6 for all types since the current sale format (coaches a few days before general) started in Oct 2013.

Yes, it seems to be some kind of Mandela effect thing, loads of people (myself included) convinced it used to be 4 for coaches but we're all wrong!

Think it used to drop down to 4 in resale for coaches but last year was 2?

In 2013, both Coach and General resale were limited to 4.

Starting 2014 onwards, coach has been 2.

Nothing, in either sale, has changed since 2014.

For a lot of people, the festival finishes when the main stages close on Sunday.  I was oblivious to this fact until I started working on PGC.  It seems like everyone in a camper van leaves after the headliners!

I was with some friends in shangri-la this year and they left at 4 to go and get their coach. I did feel a little sorry for them!

Calling it quits early on the Sunday night / Monday morning is a no brainer for us now.

Nothing ever happens in those last few hours that's worth the potential of 8 hours stuck in car park hungover

I love the atmosphere in the final few hours, people draining the last drops of the festival. And Felix Dickinson closing Block9 is a great set.

But I understand why it’s not good for everyone!

We got some food after Elton and went straight back to the tents to get a couple hours kip, up at 5am to pack up and left site straight away. Didn't feel like we missed out on anything we hadn't done earlier in the festival and there's no way I'd have hacked the journey back up North if we'd done it any different! Was bad enough without a hangover and a sleepless night

The last few hours in The Temple was epic this year. In general Sunday night into Monday morning tends to be my fav time.
