Weezer sweetens the deal, but those are ambitious venues for Pumpy and the lads.

I think it’ll do alright. Neither act has done an extensive U.K. tour in years and the pair of them together is a very sweet deal for some (e.g. me). Assuming they’ll both just be knocking out the hits it’ll be a great time.

Adding Jane's Addiction onto the line-up would have been a deal-sealer.....but I reckon tickets won't be far shy of £80 or so.

Didn't Primal Scream do Screamadelica?

I can't remember, you might be right. I know that was their tour at the time. I don't think it was publicised as a "Screamadelica" set though, was it?

Edit: Bobby wore the suit, but according to setlist, only three tunes from Screamadelica

It was the 2011 show that was specifically a Screamadelica gig:

But even then not completely comprehensive setlist.

Ahhh, right. Like the Courteeners gig, I reckon seven songs out of eleven qualifies it...just about

Orbital and LG are both "album" shows. Am I right in thinking that Glastonbury doesn't usually entertain those kind of sets?

I've always seen it more as acts playing an album show (ie, acts cashing in on previous success) are less likely to play a low paying gig like Glastonbury, rather than anything being pushed from the Festival side.

Orbital will probably do fests too with a standard tour

If LG wants to do a secret set (the only slot for him given he played so recently and is probably looking to headline now) then i can't see them saying no - he's a big get

I wouldn't say that him playing an album show in a 3rd place slot stops him headlining later. I only think he's one album of a couple of big hitters like everything's electric to be doing that anyway.

I'd be really surprised if we don't see Orbital at Glastonbury this year. Not sure where I'd place them these days, though. Woodsies possibly?

Saw them at a small festival in Cornwall recently.

Much better than I expected. They'd be fine for WH or even The Other.

The Wyldes. I was there too, Sir.

As much as I'm a fan, I think the Other is beyond them these days, and maybe even West Holts. Both of those headline slots tend to be reserved for electronic acts (arguably) at their peak (Other) and just about to break through into the mainstream (West Holts)

He's probably there now to be honest, once extra dates are added this arena tour will be huge. He's done R&L too etc - they just won't be rushing to book him solo

I forgot it was noel in 2022 not liam whoops. Not sure he wants to sub tbh but maybe - he would be a massive sub

They couldn't agree on a slot with the fest in 2022 i think

To be honest size wise he was probably there in 2019. But as you say, if Liam headlines it on material like that as well, the gloss of Oasis potentially in the future is taken off.

In 2019 he was the biggest sub the festival has probably had or will have. The only thing that would have questioned that would be if they managed to get Prince in which case Beyonce would have subbed.

In no world or reality is Beyonce a sub.
