Wide Awake festival 2024

Next year will be starting to be announced soon right, who's everyone thinking? After King Gizz it'll be interesting to see if they can match with a similar star power headliner

Announced wide awake 2025 moved to Friday 23rd may 2025 (was sat 24th) Field day taking the date now. 

That's a bit rubbish will need to take a day's holiday to go.n

The lineup is going to have to be very strong for me to justify booking a Friday off work. Hopefully the money Field Day have paid to have the weekend somehow trickles down to Wide Awake and they can have an even better lineup this year.

I can’t see this going well and it’s a shame. The lineup was strong all day last year and the place filled up early and had a great atmosphere probably helped largely by the cheaper tickets requiring entry before 2 or 3pm. Either it’ll be a later start which gives worse value for money, or it’ll be empty until 6pm which reduces the buzz, or they’ll have to give away loads of freebies to get you in which harms viability. 2024 was great, I can’t see 2025 living up to it.

Almost certain it doesn't work like that, although the friday will be cheaper to hire

LCD played a few day festivals last year , including APE in London. Might be surprised to see them come back so soon to do similar setup at wide awake

Just was checking the website of the festival   and found it odd to see these 2 bands on the «Line Up», despite most of the bands there being on the 2024 line up.  However these 2  weren't on the card (Wine Lips even was touring in the US during Wide Awake 2024).     Can this be a 'leak'?    Besides, they teased today on their social media that they would announce the first names very soon.  So it is a possiblity hat the website is being updated (and possible that some info that was supposed to be hidden, came to the eyes of the public.    Well let's wait and see

edit:  Found Sprints and Psychedelic Porn Crumpets also on the list    (These bands appear,  when after i choose the line up,  and press the «load more» button  at the bottom.

If Wine Lips, WITCH and PPC are in the line up that’s worth the entry alone- anything else is a bonus. Think PPC have got to be nailed on as they’re doing Live at Leeds on the Saturday

Yeap

THey are working on the website and the names are public .  And if you hover the new names,  their link don't have the specific tag with the name, and today there are more names, that weren't last night  (and the name from We Intend to Create Havoc  was changed to W.I.T.C.H.)

Don't think headliner is on the Prima lineup. I reckon it'll be a surprise.

Reckon we can expect first names after the refund deadline which is the 6th. Super hopeful that these names being floated around are on the bill.
