Getting taxis to and from Glastonbury Festival

Hi,

Some friends and I are thinking about hiring a house for Glastonbury 2024 but we're not sure how easy getting taxis to and from the site every day of the festival. Any advice would be appreciated!

Don't do it we did it in 2022 and its was a nightmare, had to wait between one to two hours to get a taxi into the site, than there was always a horrendous queue at the taxi rank at the end of the night. Plus the taxis can only drop you off and pick you up from the official taxi rank which is a good 30-40 minute walk to gate A through the car parks, than another 20/30 minutes to the Pyramid stage further if you are in the South East corner or Park Stage.

We tried that as well and they were all booked up for the whole festival, even tried from Wells

Honestly I wouldn't bother spoiled our whole Glastonbury, the vide was killed with the stress of getting back and to,  I'll never do it again. We did Love fields pitch your own this year and it was amazing

Buy a nice package at Worthy View / Sticklinch - it will be far cheaper and will mean your basically on site.

Won't be quite as nice but it will do

Also cost us around £50 a day ,so £250 for the week not cheap

I didn't expect it to be cheap it's a long distance

I once got a quote for a trip to hampshire. Quoted £500. regularly spend £25 on taxis within Bristol. .

You'd be much better off getting a taxi to/from the Bath & West Showground (the drop off point), and getting a shuttle to and from the festival there.

Good call.  Also options to rent a motorhome or caravan (whether to bring to site or already delivered, depending on budget), or that place that a couple of the regs seem pretty keen on, is it tangerine fields?
