Maybe, and they’ve taken lower slots than they usually would’ve before so chances are they just enjoy playing the festival, but I still reckon OS headliner is right for them, especially up against Dua or Madonna.

Just think, like you said, they'd make room for an electronic act to headline when there's seemingly 2 Glasto favourites available next year. It's looking plausible that The National will be up against Madonna, they'll probably have a female headliner, so if BMTH are willing to take a lower slot like they have the last two times they played then that third headliner will be Chems/The Prodigy imo.

BMTH in to The Prodigy would work, although at this stage BMTH are the bigger act so would be kind of weird.

They are only really free Sunday as they aren't playing Saturday. I just don't see The National closing out the Other stage, especially when I think it'll be The Chemical Brothers....I may be be wrong.

Also it's clearly the policy of the main stages to have at least one female headliner each year.

I honestly didn't think they were big enough, but seem to get the draw. 

Female headliner point is right though, my bad! Doja Cat seems likely.

I mooted BMTH as a Pyramid headliner the other day and got laughed out of the chat. (Rightly so, I'd wager.)

A headline slot on the Other would be decent crack.

With this notion of a female must headline regardless, Doja Cat on the Saturday splitting them two opposite Coldplay fits.

Someone shared it on FB they said it at a gig apparently, can not find the original now but people have tweeted it. The Glastothingy have pulled them together on X

Just seen that now. I still think Other headliner might be out of their reach at this point despite predicting they’d do it on the next run, but yeah, a new album might change that. As it stands I think they’ll sub it rather than headline.
