Yeah, can't see Muse headlining the whole shebang. How about Other headliner on the Sunday up against a Stevie Wonder/Madonna/Harry Styles?

Nah, they’re headliner sized, but they just won’t be booked to headline again. Best chance of Muse returning is a Churnups type deal if they were up to it.

Yeah he would, similar to Coldplay even people who have long not liked him would go for the few good songs and to see how it is.

If Muse play again they are headlining the pyramid not the other stage. 

 

They are still one of the biggest rock bands in the UK.

Yeah, I used to be a massive fan 'back in the day'. Had no idea they were still so big, don't think I've listened to a Muse song since 2010 when they last headlined and I buggered off after two songs.

They would be silly to accept under headliner - would indicate their stock reducing when they still do stadiums, are headlining major festivals all over the world etc. It may happen eventually if someone drops out etc, they just aren't first choice anymore i think

If that happens then we can assume Glastonbury's talent budget has had a whopping increase. But I'd say Muse are a bigger name than the kind that would usually get the Other headliner to the point where I really don't think it'll happen. Plus in any case, I've said before that I think Muse are likelier to turn up elsewhere than Glasto next year. Maybe BST, maybe Reading, maybe just do their own thing, but probably not El Pointo.

It's the pop music for the 12 year olds that's the issue with the direction of the festival. 😜

I have seen Muse headline the pyramid 3 times 04, 10, 16 and I have only been to Glasto 5 times in total. Seem to always catch them on the farm. 

 

They are easily one of the best headline acts I have seen though. They put on an amazing show and they would guarantee a packed out field (sorry SZA fans). 

The only caveat would be that they don't play too many songs off their last last two records. If they just played the hits and only a few newer ones they will be the best headliner of the weekend next year if they are booked. 

 

I don't necessarily think they will be playing by the way......just think it's absolutely ridiculous that people think they aren't headline act worthy anymore after the utter arse water they had on there this year.
