So we saying Fender Friday, Rodrigo Saturday and Rihanna or Stevie W Sunday? That's a solid set of headliners

Probably not a better suggestion currently but I don't think it's Stevie.

Rodrigo is surely out now

i dont see her doing bst and glasto 2 nights in a row

i also dont see her doing sunday glasto and 2 arena dates so 3 nights in a row

No reason someone of her age can't do BST and Glastonbury back to back, it's a couple of hours up the road with Sunday as rest. She won't be doing the Sunday night. Friday at BST essentially nailed her in. I actually believe she was due to do Friday but BST changed the plans.

I can’t tell if this puts him firmly in the GLASTO conversation, or if the fact his tickets are on sale on Friday, slap bang between the 2 GLASTO ticket sales rules him out. No reason why it should matter, but seems off

She's doing it.

You'd imagine the Saturday, looking at dates.

She's been doing multiple nights in a row quite regularly on her recent tour. She's literally doing 2 nights in a row the Monday and Tuesday after too.

I'm sure Bruce did when he played?

Looking at O-Rod's schedule, she doesn't seem to ever do 3 consecutive nights.  But she does sometimes do 2 consecutive nights in different places.

So it looks like Saturday or nothing.

It will be Saturday. I think if she wasn't doing Glastonbury as well they'd have had her do two nights at BST instead of Bryan. Given the size or England to other countries.

I still wouldn't rule out Fred Friday and Fender Sunday. I wouldn't like how it would look though.

As it stands I’d say….

Liv on lock.

They’re aiming for a big fish such as Stevie W or Rihanna.

One of Fender or Fred for the final slot, or both if they can’t reel the big fish.

Yup.

I actually believe Foos Fighters were back in the conversation as well due to wanting a big fish would could rule Stevie out but they are out too. I think one of BMTH or MCR has been pulled to replace at Reading

Does sometimes do 2 in a row? Literally had 6 shows in Los Angeles and they all had single day breaks in between sets of 2 shows. The productions for Bst and Glasto arent even an issue. You rehearse like its a festival. Somebody is out of their mind if being able to get to 2 events with absolutely zero distance is an issue here. You play BST, pack up whatever you have to and take it to Glasto overnight and she soundchecks in the morning. Whats the big ass deal.

Lucky you got the dates confused…

Oh she does 2 in a row all the time.

The point I was making is that sometimes those 2 are in different places, so we shouldn't assume that if she's doing BST on Friday, she wouldn't be doing Glasto on the Saturday.

I used to love going to Glastonbury when it was more affordable, no matter who ended up playing. I lucked out in 22 with a great lineup for the price. I'll still try for a ticket on Sunday of course but if those are our 3 Pyramid headliners (Rihanna, Fender, Rodrigo in whatever order) that's a sorry indictment of where the festival has ended up in my eyes. Rihanna mimed her way through the superbowl, I don't get the fuss about O-Rod (I've listened to a few songs and literally sounds the same as the rest of what's in the charts nowadays) and not a fan of Fender either.

All I can say is there needs to be a damn good lineup over the rest of the festival or I'll be returning my ticket at them prices if I get one. It's got to the point now where a ticket needs to be justified by the lineup on offer for me and I love the place having been (I think) 7 times.

I think you can't get more old school than AM-GnR-Elton in 2023... last year should have been Dua-Coldplay-Madonna... losing the biggest of those three and replacing with SZA was unfortunate.  Being in my 40s, I'm personally happy as long as there's one Pyramid headliner I want to see... didn't see any last year (can't stand Coldplay, so the obligatory legend-act didn't work for me!), but had a great time elsewhere.  Madonna would have been amazing though!  Rihanna - Fender - Rodrigo doesn't sound good to me at all, and I'd have to hope for great stuff elsewhere again!  I'm sure there'll be an older act though - just hope it's someone I like this time!  I don't think the current speculated line-up is an indication of Glasto's direction though.  I'm sure they'd be booking Oasis, Queen+Adam Lambert, Madonna, Pulp (!) etc if they were available!

PS - I want Erasure to headline the Park one year please!! 😄

I would usually say "it's not about the headliners", but when tickets are nearly £400 it does feel like big hitters are needed (even if they're not necessarily ones I would choose to see)
