The majority of folks on here don't give a hoot about Coachella. There's definitely some interest in Coachella on here, most people obviously have a passion for festival culture generally beyond the super fence. But eFests' resident US correspondent seems to constantly want to create an "us v them" scenario, comparing one against the other, when, in fact, they have very little in common, apart from being arguably the most globally recognised festival organisations/events. Personally, I look forward to Coachella getting underway as it arguably kicks off festival season in earnest. I'd love to experience it and may well do in 2026, if anything to see what all the fuss is about. I'm sure it's great. But anyway, back to the headliners.

This was kind of what I was going for. You just put it far more eloquently. 🙂

I definitely need to know how many cash registers Coachella has. It’s the best indicator of how the festival has it’s fingers on the pulse of the music scene
Justcalledtosay
I was holding onto Rhianna as the last vestige of hope. Holding out for a strong line up away from the pyramid now 🙏
northernangel
We could actually still end up with The 1975, Sam Fender and Rihanna

Can't lie I didn't have one headliner other the main stages I was interested in on the others stages except for Sunday in the end. With the overall cost of everything, that trio might cost me £75 but it'll save me upto £
Justcalledtosay
The last hope i have is that there isn't much there for the older festival go-er and i know they like to have something for everyone.

Covered by the legend normally in that scenario surely - especially as Sunday.

Yes what I meant to say is that nowadays I think the festival may be including the legend in that group to cover all the bases. Especially as there aren't many headliner sized acts left. Other than being in the country, do we have any other indication she is locked in. I have some doubts after the BST announcement on glasto Friday and Manchester gigs on the Mon / Tue. Despite all the doom and gloom here, I hope to be going with my 15 year old and a headline trio of 1975, o-rod and fender would be right up his street. Kids, eh. I expect she'd have been announced as a BST festival exclusive if that were to be the case.

I would say there are not too many acts out there that Glastonbury could realistically get and put on the same day that would be a bigger get than her. She is either a headliner or not playing IMO
jonnytee1
Well I've spent the best part of 1 hour trying to see if i overlooked the 1975 when trying to listen to them the first time around. The answer is no. However, if they were to headline, as i have said, all is not lost as there are about a billion other stages Also.................Got to get a ticket first

Thankfully Glastonbury's bar is set above having shite like Metro Boomin, Kid Laroi, Sublime, Fisher, Empire of the Sun, Lil Baby and Odesza on the line below outright headliners. That's probably one of your best posts. We know that Suprefan will be on here telling us Coachella is the best lineup of the year no matter who is on it so we're just waiting for it really.
