Jack.194
Olivia, The 1975 and Sam Fender would be a crazy trio compared to recent years. Way too similar, and not much diversity at all in terms of target audience. That’s coming from someone who would be very happy with each of those artists. Yeah I would agree with this - still struggling to see The 1975 headlining next year. They also usually have some form of “legacy” headliner.. Rose-Colored Boy
The main ‘legacy act’ on the circuit next summer seems to be Sting. No thanks.

Rose-Colored Boy
Need to be careful talking down The 1975’s suitability or we’ll end up with Catfish and the Beesknees.

chino1
I can't find the post but someone mentioned that they have been manifesting The 1975 playing the festival for 10 years. I love this & really hope the person got a ticket if they end up playing this year.

As much as I'd love to see Sam Fender headline, I can't see it next year. Eminem or Rhianna would fit much better, both household names with mass appeal.

An oldies act like an Eminem would balance it a lot better but if he or Rihanna or Stevie Wonder aren’t available there’s not a lot they can do. I don't think there was ever actual solid info, more just people working off assumptions. I think it's likely off the table this year, but who knows at this point. It seems there's one spot (probably Sunday) up for grabs and a number of names doing the rounds.
