Fender and The 1975 both sold out Finsbury Park too, which isn't much smaller than the general concert capacity for Spurs, I believe, to boot.

They could all sell out a stadium show or two.

Yeah, not disputing those two. I just think people don't seem to realise how massive O-Rod actually is and because she is newer doesn't go down as well as a Gaga, Wonder or Rihanna. I guess because they're all current it feels uninspiring but I think all 3 should be able to do it and Olivia and Sam completely deserve it when you look at sold out tours etc. 75 also seem to sell out anything they do too.

What stadiums would they be?

I really like him but he is definitely not Pyramid Headliner yet. Yet.

Anyway, all keep your knickers on! Its like some people have never heard an opinion that differs from theirs before. 😄

Not sure but I'm guessing the usual suspects. He subbed last time, sold an arena tour out no bother and is doing stadiums next summer which will likely sell well and will have a new album to boot. Easily big enough.

The 1975 have more albums too, so could play almost exclusively singles that people know

Liv’s live rep is pretty good whereas Rihanna’s is shocking. Guarantee Liv would go down better on the night even if the usual moaners had a field day in advance.

Muse are only being thrown about as they are announcing lots at the moment and there's no other older names being thrown about it feels like to me.

Yeah, it's looking increasingly likely those of us who like them will get chance to see them this summer, which is great, but almost no chance it's Glastonbury

If Becky Hill was selling out Finsbury Park, then maybe.

As it is - eh.

Hozier did Finsbury Park.  By that logic he could headline the Pyramid.

By the way I was being flippant which some people failed to grasp 😄 I dont actually think Becky Hill is bigger I was just making a point. I forget this is Efests sometimes 🙄

I think with the announced dates and nothing in the UK yet they've got to be in the running now. Certainly higher likelihood than Stevie Wonder, Rihanna or anything else at the moment bar O-Rod unless I've missed some info.

Can't comment on O-Rod but Rihanna was terrible at T in the park 2013. Me and my partner had to walk away and would be avoiding her on the Pyramid but Olivia Rodrigo is the one I'm hoping will headline next year and I think she will with her dates.

So Download literally failed to get Muse

It's got to be due to them being booked up elsewhere like Green Day last year.

Why no chance?

You mean you think he could do stadiums? That's not the same as actually doing stadiums.

As far as I know, he's teased big outdoor shows for next year as soon as the winter arena run sold out.

Might be putting two and two together and getting five, but I'd suggest that means stadiums.

Yep, you hear the same sort of feedback basically every time she plays a bunch of live dates. Maybe people have just forgotten because it’s been so long.

I just don't see what the festival gets out of it, especially in a year when there might be a newer audience.

A massive act with a great live reputation that no one goes 'who?' when they're announced. Obviously by no means they're nailed on or anything but I could see Glastonbury looking at them if they aren't any legacy acts about. I'd be shocked if they went for 3 newer acts that have never headlined after the SZA stuff last year. Like if Rihanna or Stevie aren't about I can defo see them getting a Muse type act that's about.

Review: Sam Fender at St James Park - Home

+ Finsbury which was 50k or something too - may as well be a stadium

Probably a few if you dig deep - Skunk Anansie, Elvis Costello etc. The quickest fall from grace was probably the Manics; headlined in 99, subbed Moby in 2003

That is quite the drop, especially given I have no memory - from being too young - of Moby ever being at the size that he was.

Muse could still nail it. I just think the general diminishing returns of the latter-day material makes them firmly more of a nostalgia booking now.
