That wouldn't stop the West Holts crew from booking them, like what happened with Sugababes this year.

CantWaitForGlasto22
This makes a headline slot look even more likely I think. Warming up for El Pointo.
NorthernSoul52
Will be a straight fight between him and The 1975 to see which aggressive mosher tune will be the worst on the night - Spice and Howden Aldi Death Queue, or People. Alternatively, they could play none of them and just do the bangers.
thisisthesam
I'd love Gaga and 1975. Not bothered about O-Rod or Fender.
NorthernSoul52
She's obviously a lock, but if Rodrigo was not on the scene and it was The 1975 / Lady Gaga / Sam Fender, you'd hear no complaints from me. Three terrific live acts, with the tunes to back 'em up.

His schedule suggests it. Be interesting to see how the stadium gigs go. I wonder how the contract for someone trying to make the leap to stadium level would affect any Glastonbury deal. Still think if they can get a Wonder or a Gaga or some such Fender will be binned.

Yeah you can't really get Gaga and complain but there is very few acts now wasn't it said that do their own stadiums outdoors now and headline Glastonbury the same year. That's not to say that he can't. I'd say Leeds and Newcastle are still far enough away of Reading did have him but I'm not sure I see Reading an hour 10 away from the London Stadium being the same scenario. NorthernSoul52
The thing is that if he is already on the dotted line - I'm assuming not - then it is a slap in the face to be binned off for somebody else, and they might not go back. Wasn't there an old line about BMTH being signed to top Download a good few years ago, and they were sacked off for Rammstein? Believe that was part of the reason they didn't go back there until 2023.
Nestacres
Anyone that witnessed Rodrigo and Fender at Glasto in 2022 knew within the first 10 mins that they were capable, and had the songs already to headline in the future. I would be shocked if both arent headlining this year.
NorthernSoul52
Did not catch Rodrigo on the box and only saw snippets, but everybody on here raved about it for months afterwards. Seemed written in the stars then - don't think I've ever seen this forum so united.
SouthbanKen
This is probably my personal bias showing here, but does anyone think that The Prodigy would draw a bigger crowd than O-Rod, Fender or the 1975, and therefore, it should actually be The Prodigy on the Pymlid? Nah Really think people are starting to overthink this now. All three are massive, and massive with the general public at that.

In my view, having seen them over 15 times going back to 1992, The Prodigy should be on the Pyramid, but they wont be. They would be phenomenal on the Other stage though. Two of my friends went and reckoned it to be up there with anything they’ve seen in 6 Glastonbury’s each. It should also be noted that early last year she did an interview for (IIRC) Vogue in the states and when asked for her favourite memory of playing live she said ‘Glastonbury.’ She was also there soaking it up the day before. Me and Mrs.MEGABOWL saw her in Glasgow this year and it was absolutely headline standard. Fender seemed to ‘get it’ too. He had to stop for a couple of minutes as he was getting a bit choked up and was then spotted out and about in various states of disrepair into the early hours of Saturday morning. The 1975….Im not a fan but saw a bit of them at TRNSMT last year and they’re much better live than on record, the crowd was loving it. I won’t be watching but let’s face it the only surprise in them headlining is it hasn’t happened before. Theres a bit of doubt because there’s no Macca/Elton gig there but it’s a solid set of headliners. All first timers but all having played before. If Fenders stadium gigs sell out and he blows up like the industry seems to be pushing for that’ll be the night he deals his ascent and it’ll look like Glastonbury have judged it just right.
